Why is the laundry more important?

As a player with words I have to admit to the sudden discovery that doing the laundry is so much more interesting than sitting pondering about which little tidbit I am going to write about next.

Sorting the clothes into neat little piles of whites, darks, towels etc. It's so much easier than choosing which story to begin next.

Why is it I have this jolly yellow streak down my back at times which makes me want to avoid writing? Heaven knows, I have enough to write about to keep me fully occupied for the rest of my life. Why then do I pontificate?

And, what am I going to do when all the laundry is done? Hmm, the windows could do with a clean.

yeah, but did you ever find yourself colour co-ordinating the pegs when you hung the washing out? rofl

WildSweet One,
Please describe your laundry in more detail to me. Also feel free to mail me photos of it. You can PM me with a list if you like.

I'm sorry. I just have a little peccadillo.

Actually, I feel like doing some laundry right now...

Hey you want details Joe, you come and do it! rofl

peccadillo? you're feeling antsy too? hmm must be something in the water ;)

lol, no, but my closet is hung in rainbow colored order.

oh far out!!! now I know what I'm going to be doing this afternoon! Thanks girl! ;)

All the way to NZ from pom-land to do your laundry? As long as you PROMISE that the water goes down the plug the other way, it'l be worth the journey. Please let it pile up, I'll be about six weeks...

Dearest, the water goes down the plug hole the correct way here in Godzone. It's you lot that have the problem, making all those little gremlins swim the wrong direction.

There's only one possible problem with leaving my laundry to pile up for six weeks... lack of clothes. Although, wait a moment, I could just spend 24/7 in my white shirt. And summer is on it's way here too...

Laundry, whats laundry?

oooh yeah clothing, I think....

I don't wear clothes that much (no one here does). Sure cuts done on laundry though.

One thing I love about this site...

... is the way the posts just suddenly take off with a life of their own. All the way from writer's block to colour-coordinated scanties, all within a dozen posts. Who's going to be first to write this portion of surreality into their next story? WSO? You started it!

Displacement Activities are fantastic. They aren't writer's block, they aren't writing, they're stuff to do inbetween.

I embrace them.

One day I decided that I hated all the different coloured spines on my video collection. Didn't work with my interior design. I spent 6 hours designing a standard, white cover on the computer, taking all the films down, writing the names in, printing each page out, inserting it in the video cover.

now, on my shelf, all my video films are uniform in colour(white) and style.

And displacement activities are the only way I clean the flat and do laundry, too! If I didn't embrace them, i'd live like a pig. Which Beautiful Wife and Superkid wouldn't be too fond of.

Got ya all beat, my avatar is actually a game piece in a board game eh, now picture 10s of thousands of game pieces.

Each one being square has four corners. These pieces are die cut and come in pre diecut counter sheets.
But when you punch them out and separate them, they all have a little fuzzy corners to them.

So I have in the past used nail clippers to snip off the fuzzy part. Because in that way they don't distrurb ajacent counters on the map when you move them.

Yep I could be insane:) .

Hoooooo Wait Up Dear Sir,

I don't have writer's block, honey. My problem is that I have TOO MUCH CHOICE! lol

I have a heck of a job stopping myself from sitting down and tapping the keyboard to death whipping out story after story after story.

Sometimes little flashes of things come to me, I am afraid I'll forget them, so I sit and write/type them out. Consequently I have half pages of stories which I'm not sure I'll ever get around to doing anything more with.

Although having said that I, oddly enough, managed to slip one piece into a story I'm playing around with. It was unexpected. Maybe that's what's meant to happen. Maybe I am meant to write the occasional snippet as it confronts me, only to include it in something at a later time...

OK I need a life.

You are a so-called "homesexual". :p

Alright - My little obsession

I have an m&m obsession. I pour them out onto the table, then sort them all into colors and Eat them generally two at a time. And when people ask me for them, I always give them “The blues” Or all of one color, and I never eat one m&m at a time, I need at least two of each color. I’ve actually saved a blue one until I got a new pack.

My husband loves to take them all when I’m not looking and leave me one of each color cause he knows it bugs me. Heh.

Yes, I’m odd. Very very odd.

OK, I'm quoting another Lit member here, but I've forgotten who:

The Masochist: "Hit me! Hit me!"
The Sadist: "No."

M&M - Masochism/Masochism. Is that when two guys are fighting over the same whip?

whip --> beating --> rugs!

darn it I feel another story coming on...

maids, uniforms, rug beating sticks, Lord, manor, castle, turret, dungeon, chains, uh oh
