That cats know exactly where to piss to make you so mad you could spit? I love my boyfriend's cats...both of them...more partial to the one in my av (IRONY) but they're both neat kitties. That is, until this morning when I discovered that they've been pissing in the basement...paying special attention to a roll of movie posters that my boyfriend and I have collected since we've been together. They were going to be in our new apartment. :(

Damn it to hell!

So there's no one that has had a stupid feline piss all over something valuable?! Impossible...they don't know /how/ to piss on anything inexpensive or unimportant.

Left my boots on the porch one time, and a neighbor's cat decided that would be the perfect place to pee. I tried everything and couldn't get away from the smell. I had to throw them away. I think I left my boots on the porch twice in the 12 years I lived there, and the cat batted .500. I feel ya.

Hell, that was just an indicriminate piss... when they really have a grudge they will piss in your favorite chair, shoes, etc. My advice.. don't piss off the kitties.

I've found that the best place for cats is in the barn to keep rodents away from the horse feed. They only want humans around to feed them...lol. Next time they piss on something you don't want to throw away, try Fabreze, it's really a great product.

Just curious, did you mean to post this in GLBT Chatter? :)

My cat doesn't piss on stuff, but she has a terrible problem with throwing up (long hair). There is a product called OUT - you can get it in the pet department at Wal-mart. It removes odor and stains. You can add it to laundry, use on carpets etc. They have one specifically for cats, but I usually use the one for both cats and dogs.

And Etoile is probably right...perhaps this belongs in the how to section. :)

If the cats are "fixed" and usually use the litterbox, peeing elsewhere can be a sign of urinary tract problems. You should probably take them to the vet, just to be sure.

My old girl used to go in the kitchen right where I stand to make tea. Ewww. But it wasn't her fault. She was so old and decrepit she couldn't manage walking from her sleeping spot to the litter box in the laundry room.

Perhapse she's just comfortable here.
Uh, thanks. As a moderator, that IS something I consider before moving threads. But I also check where someone posts habitually, and this is the first time the OP has posted in GLBT Chatter. So thanks for the suggestion, but I already considered and rejected the idea.

Yeah, I'm guessing LeahLo was attempting to click on the GB and missed by one forum link.

Either that or she thinks that she'd find more cat-lovers in the GLBT forum. :D

cats are evil but yet i still want one but my parents that i currently live with would have a fit as well as my dog meg.

We have a new kitten, first time to have a cat in 12 years. He's a clean fellow and sweet and affectionate. Hell, he even puts up with my kids and seems to actually like them, but I swear, if he doesn't stop the 3am pounce, claw, and toe bites on me, he's going to wind up making a nice winter pair of gloves.
