i've been anti-religious since i could think for myself nothing they could have said would have changed that

they make my skin crawl, they're irritating and as soon as they open their mouths my mind closes to what they have to say. i've done research on religion and i find it not for me, so why keep trying to convinced me it is?
christians...they're the worse because they're so evangelical and persistant
others are bad because they're so biased...jews, muslims, hindus...and christians too of course.
burn all the churches and mosques...maybe we'll have some peace and quiet

Y'know... a lot of religious people don't try to convert you. I was born and raised in a Catholic community. I never tried to convert anyone, I never witnessed my Church trying to do it either. People came to Church if they wanted to come to Church. Priests and counsellors answered questions if people had them. But we didnt run after people waving the bible.

I know what you mean about closing your mind as soon as their mouth opens. I used to be that way with my grandmother, who is Pentecostal. She used to lecture me all the time, telling me the many reasons why Im going to hell.. but she never tried to make me Pentecostal. As I grew up, I began to open my mind, and although I don't accept her beliefs as my own, I do respect them. She merely tells me what she believes in her heart to be true, and I can't fault her for that.

The do not like Blacks, Jews, Arabs, Muslim<sp? bad day> Japanesse, or any other race they consider inferrior<sp?>. I grew up in the home state of the clan not far from where they originated and despise them even more than anyone else for the close minded beliefs.

Too many people think that they're the only correct belief and almighty.

There's nothing wrong with holding that your religious belief is the only correct one. It's part of an awful lot of religions.

What's wrong is when you start holding that your religious belief is the only one that should be followed. That's when crusades and jihad and pogroms happen.

i said churches...not mosques or synaguages (sic) in reference to the klan...and they dont really pay attention about catholicism anymore i guess they figure they have bigger fish to fry
