I just don't see it. Insofar as the mere location has any strategic value, we already have that covered, since Denmark -- as our NATO ally -- has for decades allowed the U.S. to maintain a military base there. This is really a relic of the Cold War -- it was conceived to counter Russia as the enemy, and Trump clearly does not see it as one even in potential.
