"An assault rifle is a selective fire rifle that uses an intermediate cartridge and a detachable magazine."

Nowhere does the definition claim full auto. Add a bump stock to an AR-15 and it is virtually full auto.

Not to mention with today's 3D printers, you can easily make a store bought AR-15 full auto by printing a conversion kit.

My point exactly. Those who have assault rifles in this country do not get to fire them very often. They are already illegal to posses. Fully auto I have fired so I knew how it worked. 70 miles at sea whoever could get their hands on it were welcome to eliminate pirates. Death by shark or suffocation was never an option. Luckily, never had to use it.

An AR-15 is not an assault rifle. Armelite is an American manufacturer. Owns the gas operated design by Stoner. It may have been Colt?
Anyway, why are you modifying rifles like that? Seems a better question. You would be better off at a range and develop the ability to hit where you are aiming.

Are you really that fucking stupid? Selective fire means it can fire either full auto or semi-auto. Its hysterical that you try to call me out and you don't even fucking know what selective fire means. Beautiful Dumb Ass!! LOL

The reality is that rifles of any type are used to commit barely 2% of all homicides. Rifles of military caliber that would include but not be limited to semiautomatic rifles are used to commit barely 1% of all homicides.
