Is there a way to fight discrimination without encouraging more identity politics?

The left has forgotten what civility is supposed to look like. :)
We need to have a sit-down and work on our civility. Of course, it would be best if you were nude when we do this.

I'm not wrong about a PC issue. I'm wrong on EVERY PC issue ;)

🤔
Interesting question.

It seems to me that fighting discrimination is intrinsically political and requires identifying who is being discriminated against and by whom to address the issue.

It typically comes down to “us vs. them” which is, by definition about identity.
I'm afraid you may be right. Hoping for some brilliant, era-defining ideas. BTW, thanks very much for reading the question in the spirit in which it was made.

The success of the right wing media machine to smear whatever minority they fear should not make one cower from the task, it should embolden one even more to speak up and fight for what is morally right.

You are playing right into their propaganda if you fear directly saying the word racism, misogyny, or trans rights. The fight can be tiresome, I know. It’s ok for you to take a break, catch your breath and refocus to then come back into the ring.

You know how drivers always slow down when driving by an accident? Or how people often gather and watch when fights break out?

I think pugnacious newscasters are tapping into this to improve their viewership. It’s an economic force helping to push division and conflict.

This contributes to confirmation biases while highlighting the inflammatory extremes of social issues.

You’re the kinda stupid that even if I told you the answer to this, you would still go and make a thread asking about it again.
Ooopps, my bad, I was too slow and you already did. 🤡

It might help to return to the actual legal definition of discrimination and not some perception of what it is.

What is the legal definition? An which posts here are displaying the wrong perception? Just curious here.

More and more I'm convinced that focusing on group identities is a bad thing. It divides us. But, of course, people work their ill will on groups (Blacks, trans people, fat people), and must be opposed. Is there a way to oppose discrimination without intensifying the identities of the victimized groups? Can we insist on fair treatment for all without focusing on the particular people who are being unfairly treated? I'd really like to find a way, but haven't yet.
How are Blacks, trans people, fat people being discriminated against?

The 14th Amendment is what most of the federal statutes are founded on such as Title VII, FHA VIII, ADA, ADEA, GINA

Civil Rights Act of 1964 — Title VII

Citation: 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq.
Covers: Employment

It is unlawful for an employer “to fail or refuse to hire or to discharge any individual, or otherwise to discriminate against any individual… because of such individual’s race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.”

And so on, down the list.

The notion that Blacks, trans people, fat people is FICTION

Radical Black Fat Ugly Plagerizing grotesque cunt

Hmmmmmm. 🤔
Me thinks you devoting so much of your past to fat, ugly, and black cunts being fictional may have brought you to the reality of tapping into your vast reserves of alts that we now see here today.

And which comments here show a lack of understanding of this?
