I have always wanted to help people stop hurting. I thought the medical profession would be a bunch of people who felt that way. It didn't turn out quite that way. Nursing had been good to me though. It's flexible and there are always new things to learn.

You know you are the person that intrigues me the most on lit. You really don't say a lot about yourself. A woman of mystery, yet you come up with some of the funniest and smartest posts.:rose: Bed baths huh?:D

  • Indoor job
  • No heavy lifting
  • Pays obscenely well
  • Access to Lit through corporate firewall

My needs are few

It's time for your soapy rub down. Are you flirting with me?

There was this free fascinating booklet: Splendid! And charge of a ten-bed hospital!

I worked with a lady before she retired that had been in nursing a long time. She would talk about the days when she worked ICU and if any patient had an IV they were sent to ICU. Now that is everyday on the floor. All that stuff is interesting.

Dr. Luke made me give blowjobs to men with heart failure. He said it was for a research project, something about reducing preload and afterload. A hemodynamic experiment.

They didn't have smart pumps back then so I believe it. Imagine being on the floor with morphine via a gravity drip set? Oooops! The bottle is empty! Heheheheehe

Did she have a cape? I want a cape.

She didn't wear it but she got one when she graduated. I wanted a cap. Not to wear but just to have one. I wish they still gave them out.

The money. I was offered the job and I took it because of the high wages paid.

You know I went to nursing school...got into my clinical studies and decided working with people wasn't for me, in fact I would say it takes a rather special/particular kind of person to do that job for very long. Mucho respecto chika.

I have always been a biology nerd, (which led me to my original CRNA goal, but that was more for greed and why it didn't pan out) but I'm just better with plants/wildlife than human beings....since leaving the Army I fell in love with Mary Jane....so botany it was. The excitement/adventure chapter of my life has ended and I'm embracing and rather enjoying the chill life. Might even give the whole suburbanite clean cut yard with a volvo thing a whirl.

People feel what they feel, it never occurred to me to stop hurting or craving or rage or whatever. What I did was stop people from doing stupid shit stuff, like killing themselves or hurting other people or animals or exposing themselves or fucking up their lives.
