Because I realized the last issue I gave two damns about was Ron Macleans contract talks.

and a majority of the population would agree with me.

I've got no beef with my country about this, but for those of you "Canada is the best and most important country in the world" people shove it.

Imagine if it was Grapes.

See what happens when you have too many trees,forests,wilderness...the BUSH get's pretty thick

I don't know, seperation is getting to be quite the topic in Alberta... A recent poll says one in five (28%) are in favor of Alberta seperating rather then follow through with Kyoto.

btw, I myself would be the one in five.. I don't understand why Jean is so ready to nail our province (and lets not kid ourselves, Alberta is the wealthiest and most well off province) to a cross when the US and Austrailia refuses to sign.

If it was going to cut 50% or more gasses, then I'd understand. But 2%?? Put 100 smokers in a room.. Now tell two of them to stop smoking. Think you'll notice a difference?

Unlike Quebec, Alberta can and has been in some extent taking care of itself quite nicely. We don't need Mr Lame Duck Quebecer Jean Crietien to try and put another bullet into Albera's economy.

What? You're saying Ron McLean wasn't a real issue? All the uproar got him back didn't it?

Now if we could put that power to some real use.

Any country has the potential to be great. Look at England. It might not be such hot shit now, but that cold, foggy, swampy little island used to control the largest empire in the world. That's not too fucking shabby. I doubt Canada will be the world superpower everyone respects and fears in my lifetime, but there is no telling what the future may hold.

People fear Canada?

I think that I can safely say than Canada and Canadians do not seek to be feared or a superpower.

Legal pot is of more interest to us as a lifetime achievement, thanks.

LOL Freya!

It would have to be BC Bud, though. The rest is as weak as 'merican beer.

Isn't that the truth!! A radio station today was pushing for Alberta and BC to separate. Just might be a thought.

Pushing Kyoto as a last moment of glory.......what a dick!

edited to add.....mmmmmm BC bud! :D

British Alberta.. heh :)

But between the two provinces we'd have more than enough. The pacific coast, plenty of forestry, oil, agricuture.. Not to mention Klien's good relationship with other countries due to the fact he and other Alberta MP's have made annual trips to the US, England and Japan.

Jean has been a jackass his entire political career, and the sad thing is his replacment Martin isn't much better. The west keeps holding the rest of this country afloat yet everyone from Winnipeg east can't see that.

Klien may have been surprised (and somewhat happy of course) that it was only 28%, but I'm very surprised myself that only 28% feel that way...

How many do you think were being honest? You should have heard the people on the radio pushing for a British Alberta! And you summed it up perfectly! All the natural resources, a port, and a leader that actually has some respect!

Klien was bashing Jean quite nicely today! Basically said he was too stupid to have any kind of intelligent conversation!! Gotta love that guy! And, BC's Campbell is not too happy with the pushing of Kyoto either.....well none of the Premiers are. Just might be Jean's undoing!

The west has got to go!!!! :D

I've always been a fan of Klien.. Some of the things he's done of course I haven't agreed with, but the job he's done with Alberta after Don Getty nearly ran us into the ground is short of amazing.

On a side note... Don Getty is proof of what happens when we elect a former Edmonton Eskimo.. That should have been Alberta's first clue he was a dumbass.

Actually I thought I heard that either Manitoba or New Brunswick's Premier said that Koyoto wouldn't be so bad the other day... So Jean's typical brainwashing of the east has already begun. Of course it won't hurt Eastern Canada.. they can't be any less productive as it is!

Klien said a month ago that seperatist feelings would rise in Alberta if Koyoto was forced on them.. The east took that to be a meaningless threat.. Klien himself even went back and said in effect "ok, so maybe it won't be that bad a reaction." thinking himself he may have overreacted...

SURPRISE!!

It was Manitoba's. But he also said that Jean can't push it through without the Premier's backing. So...he has a few brains!!

btw....LMAO about the Eskimo jab!! Good one! :D

I'm sure Jean is saying "You say I can't push it through? Oh yeah? Watch me!" And the sorry thing is all he has to do is get Ontario and Quebec onside with him to get it done if that.

As for the Esks jab.. hehe.. The Stamps kinda sucked this year, so I am gonna be extra bitter towards the Eskies until next year. :)

Aone else hear about this?

Canadian Magen David Adom is affiliated with Magen David Adom in Israel and sends them the ambulances and medical equipment which is donated by Canadians. Magen David Adom is a human rights organization, providing essential medical care/treatment to the citizens of the State of Israel, it is the Israeli version of the Red Cross. Magen David Adom treats all the people of Israel, including; Jews, Muslims, and Christians. The Canadian government's decision to shut down Canadian Magen David Adom is unfortunate and unnecessary. (Canadian) Magen David Adom is NOT a political organization and has NOTHING to do with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The CCRA and the Canadian government's decision to shut down Canadian Magen David Adom will negatively affect the level of medical care in Israel for the entire population, including; Jews, Muslims, and Christians.

It was in the Jerusalem Post Oct. 28th

But what are the reasons for it being shut down? Is it possibly because they want to get any Canadians out of the area?
