Why are we changing?

Why do I get two versions of the forum in the same session? It's intermittent, and really annoying as this version -


doesn't have the same functionality as this version.


I'm using Chrome on the desktop...

Same happens to me on my phone. I see the style I do not prefer until it registers that I’ve logged on and then it’s back to my settings.

If you don’t have it set to keep you logged in, I don’t think this can change for you. The site will only be in your saved settings when you are logged in.

If you have it set to keep you logged in, then it’s the same glitch a number of us have posted about in here.

Yeah, logged in. Open and see 1). Click on a forum and maybe 1), maybe 2). Pretty much rolling the dice to see which version I get.

I see the first one all the time and it says I'm not logged in. Then I click on an item in the list and viola I'm suddenly logged in and I see the second one in. There are times that I have to click on several items before the system figures out that I'm logged in though.

ETA: I don't use Chrome although I use a Chromium browser called Brave.

Do you have Chrome set to block all cookies?

No. I have cleared the cookies and cache in case there was something odd in those, but it didn't make any difference.

Just press “new post” on the useless screen to get back to the usable one. I figure it is the server refreshing our links. It doesn’t sign you out.
