I think it’s worth noting - a fantasy like this only works if I feel loved and safe. I get off being treated like nothing but a tool in bed, but outside the bedroom, I’m a fucking badass, and I’ve earned the credibility to be treated as such. There’s always a fear that the dominant party will allow these behaviors to spill into the real world, and when those lines blur, people get hurt.

I think that's the key to it functioning long term.

As someone who has it as a fantasy, I will admit there is a slight vindictivness in the fantasy for me, with the way our sex life has been ignored. That being said, I recognize that with that being the case it wouldn't be something I would be doing for the right reasons at this moment should it magically become a reality. It really does take a strong relationship and love for one another to function.

I think what is more common is a wife being passive and having a don't ask, don't tell policy as long as things are taken care of at home.
