Their little, tiny mouth tubey things can't eat not-already-digested grub, but they can suck on previously-digested type things, and poo poo is perfect. Full of vitamins, meat, vegitables and minerals, it keeps them both happy and peppy throughout their 48 hour lifespans.

Flies do have quite a range of tastes. Sometimes they go for straight shit, other times for something sweet and pure. If we learned the secret of their attraction, maybe we could use it against them.
