Why amicus opposes Obama's push for health care reform

Wow! You sure know how to take the high ground and debate with cold, hard, logical facts!

That would be a good thing for you to learn but for the fact that you're incapable of learning....possibly a birth defect, probably just a character flaw.....keep licking Komrad Amicus' asshole......great motivation for ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, Sir Ad Hominem.

Now Carnevil, calm down, all of us conservatives know that when a liberal can't argue facts with you because they know they don't have a logical, fact filled argument they turn to name calling. I have yet to see any posts with (truthful) facts in them from a conservative since (The Community Organizer) Obama took office. Just name calling and innuendo.

DirtyLinen...I could care less that Obama is Black and has an ugly wife, it is his announced political philosophy that I deem evil.

Even the well tamed 'Dinsoaur Media', is beginning to question if Obama is a Socialist and if so, just what it means.

Currently trendy and evasive, is the misnomer of Progressive Liberalism, a psuedonym for Socialism, Marxism, Leninism, SociaL Democracy, Fascism and a dozen more that have a common denominator: sacrifice of human individual rights to the 'greater good.'

The so called humane 'liberals' on this forum, have an Orwellian concept of a perfect world in two part harmony wherein the Lion Lay down with the Lamb.

Bullshit.

Every society that has ever sacrificed even a portion of individual rights and liberties has ended up in the same graveyard and Obama and his goons are digging the graves.

The entire Progressive Liberal agenda begins with the barrel of a gun and the use of force and coercion to impose their dreams.

By what right do you use force to impose your will on me?

And does not the use of force violate all human morality and is it not properly defined as evil?

Left Wing Liberals have an evil inhumane philosophy and will use any means to achieve their desired end of total mediocrity and slavery.

Proud of yourself, are you?

Our Usual Suspects have nothing Obama wants except their votes. They have no money or property and exist hand-to-mouth. They produce nothing and neither spin nor weave.

Wtf...???

I'm worried about JBJ...again. He's not using his usual vocabulary. Perhaps the part of his brain that produces his usual comments, laced with...colorful adjectives and metaphor...maybe it's stroked out. Not that I mind the civil language he used here, but I do worry that another stroke, perhaps more serious, may follow.

So, JBJ, don't ignore this possibility. See a doctor and get this checked out. If you're worried that the MD confuses cerebrovascular disease with say...schizophrenia, let me know. Or just let me know that you really are your same old self. It won't be hard for you, unless you really are stroked out.

JBJ offers a general criticism of the Left, Stephen55, replies with a personal attack. One can conclude from that, I suppose, that is all the Left has to answer in response to legitimate criticism.

When the Lame Stream Media begins to doubt the Messiah and his grandiose Socialist dreams it indicates the gloves are coming off all over the place as the failures of this Adminsistration continue to accumulate.

Oh! STEPHAN played an MD in middle school drama club, or (more likely) spent the night in his car parked behind a Holiday Inn Express.

In speaking with my health care providers, they are generally of the opinion that this health care boondoggle will severely denigrate the existing system as we know it. Short version: Not enough money or doctors to attend to an additional 30 to 50 million people. Enforcement of the 'You must buy insurance' edict alone will be a nightmare.

Given the fact that approximately 85% of the US population already have some form of health insurance and are predominantly satisfied with their coverage, it seems a tad illogical to reconstitute the entire system to accomodate the remaining 15%...but logic isn't a politicians strong suit, it's pacifying voters and thereby gaining their support.

There's an ancient Chinese curse 'May you live in interesting times'. Things are getting interesting. ;)

You really need to try to look at it from YOUR perspective, not your health care providers' perspectives.

(You can bet they are looking at it from their self-interest.)

I'm in total agreement. I like my health care providers and I respect their opinions :D

Of course they are, it's a business like any other business and people go into business to make a profit...if they choose to do charity work that's their decision, not some bureaucrats in Washington.

That's great then. I'm sure their self-interest is exactly the same as yours. ;)

It is. We're all firm advocates of Capitalism. Go be charitable with your own money on your own time if you so choose. Don't be so self-righteous as to exhort the government to take my or other peoples money and 'charitably' dispense it as they see fit to assuage your own guilt or whatever idealism that motivates you..

Oh, I didn't mention what I'd do--other than not rely on someone's perspective whose self-interest was so obviously separate from mine in the circumstance.

You seem a little hot under the collar about this--like maybe being embarrassed you gave an "I am but a sheep" statement to begin with(?) :D

That's right, you didn't. You believe what you want and I will too. I guess I forgot to mention I can think for myself and make up my own mind. If my opinions coincide with others, so be it.

Hot under the collar? Hardly. Embarassed? Not in the least.

What's with the 'I am but a sheep' wisecrack? You were actually engaging in intelligible discourse for a while until you lapsed into sarcasm. You get an 'E' for the debate effort though. :D

Just in your sweet end-o...I know you crave some liberal cock...it gets hard without a tax break and stays hard so long it makes ya wanna holla!!!!!

Brainless in Alabama......................

Given the fact that approximately 85% of the US population already have some form of health insurance and are predominantly satisfied with their coverage,....

Now now TE999. cherry-picking your numbers is not an honest and forthright way of engaging in a discussion.

In an extensive ABCNEWS/Washington Post poll, Americans by a 2-1 margin, 62-32 percent, prefer a universal health insurance program over the current employer-based system. That support, however, is conditional: It falls to fewer than four in 10 if it means a limited choice of doctors, or waiting lists for non-emergency treatments.

Support for change is based largely on unease with the current system's costs. Seventy-eight percent are dissatisfied with the cost of the nation's health care system, including 54 percent "very" dissatisfied.

And what about the other 15% of Americans you so blithely dismiss? Are they somehow not worthy of health care? Do you realize that the USA is the only industrialized nation in the world without universal health care? Why is that something to brag about? Is the goal of capitalism more important than the health of millions of hard working Americans?

I realize that the only person you care about in the world is you, or perhaps you and your family, but you do not exist on an island - you are part of a society, a society that enables you to make a living and have a good job with health insurance. Take away the society that provides you your job, and you'd have nothing - no health insurance, no doctor to go see, nothing but a hole to piss and shit in.

Your inability to accept your obligation to the society on which you depend calls into question not only your intelligence, but your integrity and sense of morals. I'd feel sorry for you, but I prefer not to waste my time on lost causes.

JBJ doesn't offer a general criticism of the Left. He doesn't offer a legitimate criticism of the Left. He offers a somewhat more than usually polite take on his "Usual Suspects" routine. I've made a similar, somewhat humorous jab at JBJ before. He understands. So do you. The difference is that you take it as another opportunity to do the Randroid Rant. Why am I not surprised?

However, if you are willing to come out and state that anyone to the left of Ayn Rand have no money or property and exist hand-to-mouth. They produce nothing and neither spin nor weave then say so.

Ps: Learn to spell "Administration". If you were trying to be clever and imply that the Obama administration is sinister or a sin, then the word would be "Adminsinistration", or perhaps "Adsinistration". Or even "Adminsinstration".

PPs: As a Randroid, it's acceptable for you to consider Obama's desire for decent health care for your fellow Americans to be one of Obama's failures. But then, as a Randroid, you're a moron. It goes with the territory.

PPPs: You keep calling me "the Left". I do not think it means what you think it means. But then, as a Randroid, you don't care.
