that the reason observers are needed in Zimbabwe for the elections is because he can't be trusted to run an honest and fair one.

And the reason the European Union doesn't need observers is because we can be trusted to run honest and fairs ones.

But I'd stay away from mentioning America if I were you...

:D

That reminds me of a Winston Churchill quote

America can be relied upon to do the right thing, having exhausted the alternatives.

Lmao :D

We should send in only Italian observers. They have the most experience (over 50 elections since WWII)!

There is very little we can do aside from sanctions. The man is not influenced by anyone (except the little voices in his head).

The most likely result of the election is that he will be elected again and many of the opposition will be dead!

Where's Nkomo these days?

Not that he's much better, but the Ndbele at least will look you in the eyes as they're gutting you... :D

Maybe we could get Buthelezi to raise the Impi and invade...

I think that we should just ignore Africa for the next 50 years, and let them settle it themselves...

Europe caused the problem, I guess - but has been rather inept in fixing it... (sigh)

I've always liked Chief Buthelezi and his honourable army of Zulu warriors supreme.

I think Michael Caine had a lot to do with it!

But they've still got problems with the ANC down south...

Sending in the Italians is a good idea as the most experienced nation around when it comes to elections, but no one party actually won their elections.

The other parties just decided to surrender half way through...

:D
