Actually, I do feel like a whore sometimes. When I sell myself, I'm not spreading my legs but I *am* opening my mind and selling something deeply personal.

Most of the negative connotations surrounding the issue don't have as much to do with the expectations or the limitations of practically doing the job, but the attitudes about it. Diseases can be screened and prevented. You don't have to stand on a street corner if you are legal. You're allowed the benefit of the law when it's legal.

If you don't have any taboos about sex being only between an emotionally involved pair bond forever, there's even no reason why you can't be emotionally involved. Just remove the "forever" bit.

That's one of the main reasons I don't work anymore. The fury I felt of every second of every work day kept me from being a good slave. And that fury, always suppressed of course, came out at inappropriate times. It also contributed greatly to my mental illness.

A street hooker is a slave. No one in their right mind would voluntarily work as a street hooker unless forced by economic/physical circumstances.

An escort/call girl is a high paying, illegal profession. The main problem is the lack of choice of clients. The clients are screened to some extent, but the girl winds up working for a lot of real losers.

The chance of contracting an STD is almost certain for a street hooker and very high even for an escort/call girl.
