Could they work well together? Will Pete B have enough experience by '24?

would they be a dream team or a disaster?

personally, i'd love to see them both on the ticket. not sure which i'd like to see as president most, but i'd love to see Pete as a president of the USA someday

If Biden doesn't make it to November 2024 medically, it's more than likely it will be Harris running for president.

There are several reasons why I think this is unlikely, but just in pure political terms, 1) if Biden runs again, and I expect he will (see footnote), he is not going to be challenged by anyone in the administration; and 2) if Biden chooses not to run, I would be pretty surprised if anyone in the administration challenges Harris.

This would be a particular issue, I think, for someone who has already been accused of not being willing to pay his dues.

Footnote: This is not to say I think his running again is a good idea.

I would, but frankly I'd rather see Gavin run. A lot can happen in a couple of years.
Heā€™s a man of the people!

Wllie Brown links to newsome and harris, the don kingmaker of democratic politics.

Another entitled white boy, funny how that works.

Not me, but it would have to depend on who the Republicans put up. If it's (God Forbid) DeSantis or Trump (assuming he's not in jail by then like he deserves), then I'd even support Pee Wee Herman or The Tooth Fairy over either of those.

I don't think Kamala is the right person for the job at this point in history. Her instincts seem out of synch with the perilous nature of the times. I'd rather see Pete run with Samantha Power.

I will not support either Biden or Harris. Both have been failures and incapable of leading. I think Pete is smart enough...but why give Republicans something they can rally around?

If the nation still exists then, the best case scenario is pulling the bus out of the ditch. That's not a job for a lightweight or anyone tainted with the Biden wreckage. That's a job for an exceptional leader, which I haven't yet seen in either party. There is also the very remote possibility that we don't need an exceptional leader, if the whole nation stops shouting the partisan programmed beliefs, and starts working on practical solutions, in government policy and in their own lives.

YES! This last sentence; this is what is missing from America today. A government and leaders who are not beholden to partisan extremes, but actually working on practical solutions to the issues facing the country. This is what has been missing these last six years or more.

Ever since the era of Newt Gingrich it's been nothing but partisan extremism and scorched earth in American politics, mostly on the right-wing (I can't call it conservative) side. The system as it exists now perpetuates this, including the disaster known as the Electoral College. We need a viable third party to offset the national polarization, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. Big money and vested interests want to keep the current untenable situation as it is.

Anyone who has not watched them yet should check out Peteā€™s interviews on Fox. He absolutely eviserates them. They are left speechless and I am not exaggerating. I was never a fan until I saw these interviews. Now I think he is the path democrats should take and fight back against these fucking Nazis.

Both Kamala and Pete are well qualified candidates and both are un-electable in 2024, as is Joe Biden. The Democrats best chance at the moment is for Trump to win the GOP nomination And to run an at present unknown, apolitical candidate against him. A 50 year old General with half a brain would be enough to terrify the GOP.

But two years is a long time.

I think democrats should enter counselling now so they can cope when all three branches of government settle in for a long republican run.

I don't see how Kamala can accept second billing on a second team. She moves up or she's done.

Whoever they are their political careers will be ended as a result of the 2024 election. Only the stupid will be clinging to the hapless Democrat Party by that time.

Her ego won't allow it. That is why she would not be a good President in my opinion. Pete could do the job better than any of last 10 Presidents...but it gives the Republican base a reason to unite. He should consider a Vice presidential position first

Sooo some combination of Kam, Pete and/or Gavin vs some combination of Mikey, Larry and/or Liz.

Who gets it?
