Ever seen someone in concert more than once? If you did, do you ever compare the shows?

I've seen Bob Dylan twice, as well as the Skorpions, the Allman Brothers, Billy Joel, Elton John, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana and the 80s hair band Ratt for some reason.

How about you?

Marshall Tucker, Allman Bros, Grinder Switch, Jimmy Buffett, Eagles, Hank Jr, and Molly Hatchet. I know there are a few others but the details are a little hazy right now.;)

i've only seen obscure Canadian bands more than once.
Those "bigger" shows i would attend more than once, either i can't because of financial restraints (they always seem to tour at the most inconvenient times) or because they haven't toured again.
Sucks to be me! :D

Me, singing in the shower. I've seen that show a lot.

On a more serious side, I haven't seen anyone multiple times, but I would LOVE to see the Neon Circus again, for Brooks and Dunn. For anyone who loves country, that is a show not to be missed.

Hmmm, saw the Dead a few times, Rundgren a couple....jeez were all those others single shots? wow

Considering that most of my concert going occured from 1985 to 1992, this question is pretty much too embarrassing to answer.

I will say I've seen the Stones 4 times and saw the Dead several times including their last stop in the Burgh just a couple weeks before Jerry died.

Oh come on...if I can own up to Ratt, you can own up to at least one! Who was it? Huey Lewis? Culture Club?

Black sabbath, Deep purple, Alice Cooper, Elton John, Areosmith, CSN& Young, Tull, Creed, OMG so many ahhhh the good old days ;) :D

ive seen Dylan numerous times with a variety of back up bands.

I grew up in sf and saw the Dead quite a few times.

they even played my High School in early 70's (chuckles)

I saw Weather Report, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Bob Marley and the Wailers 3 times each.

I miss going to shows.

I only saw Ratt once - with Poison opening.

Ok... I'll give...

Probably the most embarrassing thing I could say is to admit to seeing Bon Jovi 4 times in less than a year in 1987. It wasn't my fault, honest.

oh and have seen Neil Young many times.

another benefit of living in SF.

Grateful Dead
Rolling Stones
Pink Floyd
Santana
Talking Heads
Blues Traveler
Little Feat

Minnesota Orchestra often. Twice with Itzhak Perlman. Thrice with Renée Fleming.

Elton John...Bruse Springsteen (the bennies of living at the Jersey Shore)...Fleetwood Mac

hmmm...let me knock the resin out of my synapses...

Kiss ( I know, laugh away)
Stones (every chance I get)
Floyd (wow)
Bowie (just him and with Tin Machine)
Elton (the first time was the best, it just got more glam)
Better than Ezra (house band in N.O for a while)
Ozzy (more dead brain cells)
Fuel (not my idea)
Warren Zeveon (Un-freaking believable)
Dead (twice, once on windowpane and once clownface..lol)
Soundgarden twice.....

I won't even dare list the bands/groups/artists I've seen in concert more than once... but here are some I've seen perform twice during the same tour...

INXS
Depeche Mode
U2
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Soundgarden
Pearl Jam
Ministry
the Jesus & Mary Chain
Lush
Ziggy Marley

That's all I can think of in terms of same concerts but on different nights and/or in different cities.

I've never been to a Dead concert, however, I have experienced windowpanes. And are clownfaces anything like Beavis & Buttheads, heh...

No one's every heard of her, but, I've seen Lila McCann more then once. 5 to be exact I have compared the shows. 2 were actually more of an opening act, or, just on for 15 minutes, though. The first tiem I saw her was my favorite. She just got up there, waved to hundreds of people that waved at her, talked to her audeince after each song & goofed around a lot. It wasn't all about getting up there & just singing. In fact it was mostly interaction. That's my favorite thing about a concert. Plus, I got to meet her backstage for the first time, so, that was the best night of my life.

Dead 250
jerry band 25
zappa 12
ekoostik hookah 10
yes 7
traffic 4
weather report 3

plus tons of good local and regional acts

So, where can you get tickets to this show? :D

Big Name - Melissa Etheridge, Indigo Girls, Wynton Marsalis.

Lesser known - too many to count.

Get thee to Eddie's Attic, Rob.

Thanks to the Houston Live Stock Show & Rodeo - I've seen the following more than once -

Allan Jackson
Brooks & Dunn
Reba McIntyre

I've seen other shows there, but back in the 80s and early 90s I went to rodeo every year - and several times during each "season" - it runs for about a month and I'd go to two or three different shows while it was here. Now I'm lucky to hit it once or maybe twice in a year - and it's always Allan Jackson or Brooks & Dunn - haven't seen Reba since late 80s.

I don't listen to country music any other time of the year though it seems.
