Who believes in ghosts? I got proof today...

Good morning! :)
Cloudy, hijack away. I'd love to hear, lol.

Bel! Thank you. Whew. There for a few minutes I was starting to believe I was crazy, lol.

Neon, that is too cool. How awesome is that!?

Everyone else, even if you aren't seeing anything, thanks for posting anyhow. It's interesting to see what people think. :)

Last night, once we got all those pictures cropped and resized, my stepbrother wanted to take pictures of our house.
Oh goodie.
There were orbs like crazy, in almost every room.
Downstairs, two faces appeared in different areas of the house.
Cool beans. Yes, there's a ghost named Levi that lives down there. I've got some stories on him!

We came back up here to my room to upload them. My stepbrother wanted to take pictures in here, but I wasn't quite as gung-ho for it, seeing as how this is where I sleep, lol.
He wanted me to get a picture of my cheval mirror, so I did. (I hate mirrors anyhow.)
Well, he'd written 'redrum' in the dust~ that's what he wanted me to see, so he had me zoom in on it.
I almost screamed, and zoomed back out. I said, "Okay, I'm going to zoom back in, look in my closet..."
My friend yelped, and my stepbrother said, "Holy shit..."
We brought my mom in, and asked her to look at that picture. She said, "I don't like what I'm seeing in your closet."
It was a face.. a scary face.

Maybe I'll resize and post it later.. but if you guys aren't seeing the ones in the windows, I doubt you'll see this one. It's not quite as obvious. (to me, us, whatever.)

Thanks again everyone, for the response!

Shit, it's time for work. Have a great day guys, and I hope this thread stays somewhat afloat!

~K:kiss:

I saw a couple things, feeling sceptical, but enjoyed the look. No I don't think you tampered, I just don't trust ghost pics in general. Mysterious shadows and all that, maybe there was something behind you that you don't remember. All this and my own mothers house has a ghost. (two actually, one human, one dog)- and that I was picked up by *something* unseen one time in the same house. I believe but at the same time I doubt things.:)

I would love to see the other pictures you took, so it woul d be cool to look at them.

Thanks for posting.

Oh, now that's just creepy, Kitten! I've got chills climbing my spine!

I don't really see exactly what you are talking about, but I think I see something in some of the pictures.

My house is haunted by voices. You can hear them at times when it's really quiet. I sleep with a noise-maker machine so I won't hear them just in case they talk in my sleep. :)

Yui,
Voices is really strange. This is something that I hear, three times in the last year.

If i've been working really late, low on sleep, and go to bed I occassionally hear voices. The voices are in my head. It sounds like I've plugged into a telephone exchange, literally hundreds of voices mostly foreign languages but a few words of English, Portuguese or French that I can recognise. It's a constant stream all tumbling one over the other, impossible to make out any conversation, just odd words.

First happened about about fifteen months ago, and twice since. The first time it scared the willies out of me.

Anyone experienced anything similar?

Yep!
Now, I just think I'm crazy, but I hear voices.
It doesn't happen all that often, but when it does, it scares the hell out of me.
It sounds to me, kind of like when you're at a restaurant, and everyone is talking.. that low murmer of voices, where you can't make out any words.

Every now and again, I'll only hear two. The best I can explain it... it seems like it's just two women, but I still can't make out words all the time. But they aren't creepy, because their voices seem kind, and they laugh with eachother.

Yui, I'm glad you got a chill, hooray! lol.
See above about voices. :)

Sweet, my friend and I have been in disbelief that not a lot of people are seeing what we've discovered.
Then, we started talking about it last night. When we were looking at pictures on that website, some seemed fake, and we were like, 'oh yeah right.'
So since we started thinking like that, yeah, I see where people are coming from.
My friend said that had she not been there when we took the pictures, not seen me just upload them then zoom in, she probably wouldn't really truly believe it either. But she knows for a fact I did nothing to them.
That's the part thats freaky to me.

As far as the pictures of my closet I so bravely discussed yesterday morning.. I looked at them again last night, and it really scared the shit out of me. I don't think I can look at them again, and long enough to zoom in and crop and resize.
Maybe I will eventually, just not today.

OH YEAH! I almost forgot! In the picture of the top left window, the one with the civil war guy..
How this happened, I will never know.
At the top right of that picture, theres a faint red line type thing, that looks like there is a window under it. To me, it looks like the window of a car from the side.
(My car is red.)
The top left of that picture, you can almost make out a girl in a blue shirt, with hair just touching her shoulders... and the background seems kind of greenish, and it almost looks like there are pictures on the wall.
Upon showing that to my mom, I said, "Um.. who does that girl look like?"
She replied, "You.. oh my god.. you.. sitting in the dining room of that house."

EEK! There's no reason for a reflection, we were on the ground, thats the second level. I wasn't wearing blue, I was wearing red. And I certainly didn't have a green background with pictures behind me out in the yard.

Okay, that's enough for now. I need coffee. :)

Grandma and Grandpa died. so, we were offered to live in the house that they had lived in, the house that my great grandparents not only built but also died in.
Awesome deal! i thought.
our daughter was only about a year and a half old when we moved in and she would tell me that there was an old woman who read her stories at night. that would creep me out but not too badly. i thought that if we had to have ghosts, why not someone friendly like my grandma?
kat was afraid of the dark though. she had to sleep with the over head light on because the old woman was "spooky mama."

one night, the ex was out on duty and i had to be alone with the kidlette. it was about 8pm and the house was completely dark upstairs. she was two years old.
she climbed to the top of the stairs, sat down with a book.

i was a bit unsettled because, well, she hated the dark.
"baby, what are you doing up there?" i asked.
"moma, shes laughing at you."
the hair on the back of my neck raised.
"who, baby?"
"the old woman. she says you make her laugh."

i packed a bag and spent the night at my mom's house. suffice to say...i believe.

A long time ago now I used to be a busker, and sometimes I would go down to the train platforms when the weather was bad. (Not so much to play but as to keep warm) Anyway, I can recall being in Euston Station really late and right now I don't remember the reason exactly why I did what I did. But, I walked down to the end of the platform where the train enters the tunnel and looked down the tunnel. I remember thinking that I wouldn't stay very long because it was cold over there. I remember turning around and seeing this guy standing over by the wall and I couldn't remember if he was there before or not. I remember it freaked me out a little bit so I walked back to the central part of the platform and there were a few people milling around over there. When I looked up he was gone, and no trains had come through.

I've also seen lights in Leicester Square station that freaked me out...and everybody knows that Covent Garden is haunted.

I've seen both my parents before so I know they are still around and checking in on me from time to time. Its a little like being buzzed by a bee on a high frequency line. I don't mind it.

Yeh. I've often wondered about that. From what I've read, our eyes/brain only concentrate on the forward view, ie. where the action is, where we are looking. I understand the brain 'paints' the image for peripheral vision and only registers changes that occur. In forward vision huge amounts of data are processed according to what we expect rather than what is actually going on, it's one explanation for why 'eye witnesses' have a tendancy to 'see' different things. With peripheral vision we 'see' what actually occurs, like the car coming down the road, it has to be more accurate/factual to avoid accidents. Hence, we may not see ghosts when were looking directly for them because the brain doesn't expect to see them. Probably bullshit - someone out there will put me right.

Hell it makes me feel less looney, thank you!:rose:

Kitten, I hope since there are so many people on here that DONT see what you are seeing, you believe me when I say I DO see some of the faces you see. The over lapping one with the skirt is harder to make out but you most definately see the legs and the skirt. She is standing with her legs spread apart as though she has her hands on her hips making a point of some sort.

I lived in a grave yard for 7 yrs while my dad was the caretaker, nothing scares me where ghosts or spirits are concerned. I never saw any while living there but just the fact that it was sacred ground made me feel more comfortable. I loved going into the mosselleum(sp) and sitting on the rod iron bench looking into the stain glass window of Christ. So peaceful and no one bothered me if I was in there. Out of us 4 kids I was the only one that would go in there in the dark. We used the mosselleum for winter storage, we dont do winter burials around here, so there would be many many bouquets of flowers dropped off inside, and my dad allowed me to pick out a bouquet to practice my designing on. All the flowers would be dead before spring anyway. The smell of flowers and the coolness with the calming effects of the situation were so inviting.

Having said this, we move into the house hubby and I bought after we married and for the first year or two I always felt as though I was being watched, and when Id lock up before bed, it felt as though someone was following me. So since my mom always told me that if you confront a spirit and ask them to leave they usually will if they are hanging around just because they want to. One day, I had had it with these feelings so I turned and said to the spirit I thought was following me "Tiny, what is it that you want, can I help you get what you need so you can leave us to start a family in your home?" With that, I felt static across my arms and the back of my neck, then nothing, and never again has it happend since!

Kitten,

I saw a few faces and definitely a soldier in the window. Those pics are great. Some I didn't see anything, but the glare and shadows may have been the problem.
I've never seen a ghost, but have experienced some strange things. When I was married my wife heard voices on a farm we lived at out in the country. A physican had died there and his son one year to date had also died. I know she heard something she thought I was calling her when she was in the kitchen and I was half an acre away working in the garden. When she realized it wasn't me she came running. I think that's the fastest that woman ever moved. lol

I'm glad someone else hears voices, too! At my house, you hear them when it's really quiet and it sounds like…the best way to describe it, is that is sounds like a radio playing. Not music, just indistinct murmuring. You can walk from room to room and the level of noise remains constant. You are never any nearer or any further away from the sound.

I'm impressed that you can distinguish specific languages. My voices are much too muted and indistinct for me to do that.

I don't have any close neighbors. I live in the woods, so I know I'm not getting street noise or a neighbors TV or something like that. I would say it's the voices in my head but my mother has heard it, too, when visiting.

I've come up with all the ways to try to explain it – something in my house is receiving radio signals, or it's coming through the phone, or something. But the fact is, there is no explanation that I can find. The voices are simply there sometimes.

I'm getting the willies typing about it, I think mostly because of Kitten and the face in her closet, but it's not usually an uncomfortable feeling or anything. :)

Kitten, I saw it, I believe it, I study it, I am fascinated by it. I've found one picture of mine that has an orb in it. It was taken in San Antonio at the Alamo...but...I wasn't surprised when I found it. If I get a chance, I'll scan it. It's taken inside the Alamo, a picture of me, my best friend at the time, and her baby sister, and in the upper right hand corner is an orb.

The one thing about the pic with the faceless lady and straight hair....could've been, but I saw a shapeless light vortex...who knows. I could be wrong....

I'll find the thread I had on here about the paranormal...

Yui...

The sounds you're hearing are white noise. EVP's and white noise can be confused and occasionally even compared and are very similar, but they can be recorded and heard differently. EVP's cannot be heard unless recorded with special equipment and are most easily recorded in cemetaries and graveyards. White noise can be heard in various situations....when it's dead quiet, over and through television and radio static, etc.

Both are very interesting phenomenas...white noise is not completely understood yet either.

Well, now I'm going to have to burn my house to the ground when I get home, SIMA. :( I don't want white noise. *whining* I want benevolent ghosts of ancestors who ring my wind chimes cheerily and shoo away burglars and stuff like that.

White noise is nothing to get freaked about babe. It's harmless. Whatever that new movie White Noise tells you...it's probably inaccurate to a point. Other than that...don't worry about it. It's a fascinating phenomena...if you ever pick up any recordings, post em, post em! :)

Or if you just want someone to spend the night and protect you, call me. ;)

 I will not be recording anything! I don't want to know what the voices are saying! Wiggy stuff! Chills! Nope! No The Cowardly Yui!

But, if you want to come over and spend the night, we can go swimming and I'll paint your toes for you. ;)

 Naughty girl!

Only after dark...what if the UPS man comes? He loves to sneak up on me.

And no tape recorders! ;)

Wouldnt it be more fun to be skinny dipping when the UPS man does arrive? It could be a hot day and he may need cooling down.
I can see the two of you, swimming around doing all kinds of semi naughty things and the door bell rings- "We are around back, come on through!"
Yui standing there completely naked with She in the pool and the UPS guy standing there with a tent in his pants! lol
I can fantasize cant I? lol

We have a Poltergiest that keeps nicking my sisters things. It seems male (big surprise, she attacts them ;) ) And if we are alone we hear doors opening, footsteps and creaks.

It can be a little spooky but he's friendly :)

this is not a ghost(I don't think)- but when I laid down on the couch and looked up at the wreath on the wall, I saw a ladies face. Reminded me of the greenman/greenwoman of Wiccan lore.

She was pretty, like a richly browned skin woman with red lips. I tried to take a picture. You can kind of see it, but it looks a little more scary on the pic than it did in r/l. I brightened it up a bit (it was completly dark and you couldn't see anything) and played around with a couple more to bring out what I saw- esp, I blured it some to get more of the effect of my unfocused eye looking at it.

IF you can't see 'her' then I suggest moving to the right of your screen and looking toward it, that's what helped me finally see in the pic, some of what I saw in the wreath.

here's another (I dialed down the color intensity a little)

My husband does. He has good reason to.

I had an odd encounter with something as well. It kept trying to get my attention, but when I told it I believed in it, it stopped.

I can't say I don't believe in ghosts any more.
