I saw another thread here lifting a lyric from a Rolling Stones song and so I naturally thought that The Who was fair game.

That thread was a coming out party, of sorts for an author who had recently joined the fray here. I too am a newb here and have a couple pieces published in Erotic Couplings and while I know who I am, I am only just beginning to learn about all of you. Some of you will recognize that I’ve kicked off a couple threads here asking for advice and insight and the feedback has been kind and interesting.

I know that there are a core group of you patrolling out here in the Authors’ Hangout and I feel like I’m getting to know some of you. In addition I’ve begun to read some of your work and I think I would be remiss if I didn’t say in my best southern drawl “Y’all som sick fucks!” and of course I mean that in the way that the kids use it these days. I should add to that “Y’all ain’t got nut’n on me!” In other words I feel quite at home here.

So this is kind of a reverse intro where I’m asking if you would take ten to jot down a brief bit about yourself and what you like to write (I’m aware that many of you write all the fuck over this place which both amazes and intimidates me).

After all how is one expected to hang out the the “cool kids” if you don’t know who the cool kids are and I suspect that there are others out here who would love a brief intro to help them get acquainted as well...

I’ll start.

I’ve been a professional salesman since before I was a man. In high school I was the fledgling Al Bundy selling shoes. I graduated to selling personal computers and then to selling enterprise software to the US Federal Government and I’ve been doing that for 29 years. I have a hand full of “loves.” Photography is one of them and so is strip clubs and writing smut. I hope to graduate to writing erotica one day but for the last 10 years I’ve written sex scenes for some of the dancers at the strip club I frequent.

To say that I love writing would be a serious understatement. I write sexy scenes for dancers bc truth be told its a powerful aphrodisiac. One dancer that I met when she was 19 and starting college and said good bye to when she graduated 4 years later used to laugh when I called the stories I wrote for her “Four years of foreplay.” No that relationship was never consummated. She loved my stories and would give feedback and sometimes even read parts of them back to me which never failed to curl my toes.

All of my stories to date revolve around A sex scene albeit sometimes an extended one, like in the story I’ve published titled Date Night. Most run about 7,500 words but my most ambitious one is weighing in at 35k words. My approach is intimate, passionate and intense. I have dipped my toes in the BDSM realm but my first attempt saw me get my ass handed to me by a couple dancers who were into the scene. They riled because I basically didn’t follow any of the rules. My second attempt was better received. My scenes are 99% hetro M-F but I will be expanding my horizons now that I’ve ample work to sample and get my training wheels removed.

So that’s about all I can think of except to say that a couple of you have given me some very kind feedback and for that I am eternally grateful.

Well, we got us here:

Behind Blue Eyes - that's me EB, because mine are blue, every leading male in my stories are blue eyed (because I'm lazy and only know how to write a fictitious me).

All the Best Cowgirls have Chinese Eyes - Chloe Tzang (although admittedly the song is by Pete without The Who, but close enough for Literotica work).

Pictures of Lily - could be Kantarii in a pretty dress.

Boris the Spider - anybody who regularly writes in Erotic Horror, of whom we have several.

I'm Your Wicked Uncle Ernie - likewise, those who write in Incest. Granted, they'll be marked down because step incest isn't fully proper.

Acid Queen - several candidates, possibly, but they can out themselves, or each other (I'm not that stupid).

Hope I Die Before I get Old - Oggbashan or Handley Page, being our respectable British gentleman.

Tommy, Can You See Me? - KeithD because he's keen on the boys and tends to post a lot. Could be up the back on the drums of course, the original Keith Moon the Loon being dead.

There's a Doctor I've Found Can Cure the Boy - Awkward MD, more frequently found over in the Feedback Forum, but drops by here from time to time.

M M M My Generation - all of us, because we all know our generation rocks, okay.

It's Hard - which is sort of the point, being Literotica.

Plenty more: Who's Next?

So, okie dokie then, Eebs... that must've taken you all of 10 minutes to just pop off the top of your brain! I hate how you do that, btw. You make it look so easy and it leaves me feeling deeply inadequate. You failed to mention that you write wicked Aardvark sex of the incestuous kind. *blinks eyes at ElectricBlue*

Now I'll just try to appear really normal and to the OP, "Hi and welcome to Lit." I'm completely harmless, but the rest of these people??? Completely insane.

I are what I are and that's all what I are.

Janus, you can see that Hypoxia is in a padded cell...there's a reason for that :D

Since you and I have already brushed in the dark, I just first wanted to recommend others to go take a peek at your story. As I said in my comment; I will be stealing some of your phrases ;)

I'm pretty easy to figure out. My interests tend toward LGBTQ themes. There's a couple of reasons for that; First, there's an abundance of talent writing romance and erotic heterosexual relationships far better than I could ever hope to do. Second, I have a soft place in my heart for folks who are pushed down by society at large. I try to show their normalcy and that they too have the same needs for love and companionship just like everyone else. My biggest reward in writing comes from the rare comment expressing how a story made them cry or encouraged them in some way => mission accomplished!

My style (if I have one) leans much more toward portraying emotions/feelings/thoughts that can reveal the deeper aspects of humanity in my opinion. If I succeed in prompting and "orgasm of the brain", I'll be happy. I have no formal training in writing fiction, but have dabbled with song lyrics, rhymes and spiritual musings for...well almost forever.

Finally, I come and go here. This is a hobby, one of many, and when the weather is nice I'll be gone...but I'll be back when it gets too cold to sit out under the stars somewhere in the western wild lands.

Like I said, I'm pretty easy to figure out ;) I wish you much success here, however you define success. I've found it a great place to learn from those who know more...not just writing, but a diversity of different skills and experiences.

PS: You mentioned writing out of your comfort zone with some BDSM themed stuff, our own BDSM Forum is a wealth of information and there is a core group of regulars there also...they are very supportive and generous in welcoming newbies into their ranks.

I don't have a snappy The Who song title for me. "Ramble On" by Led Zeppelin would be me. My stories tend to go on for a bit and I write Fantasy and Sci-Fi almost exclusively. It's well known that Zep referenced Tolkien, so that fits. :)

The first half of my user name here is true and I wasn't aware of the rather unfortunate abbreviation of it :) I'm a nerd and proud of it, able to obsess about music, pen&paper roleplaying games, giant robots and sometimes writing and/or sex.

So, welcome. Most of us won't bite unless asked to. Grab a seat, your favourite beverage of choice and join the party. If there's one thing I have learned in the six years I've been here, its that it is never boring.

Happy Jack, the whiskey man behind blue eyes, is lost in a teenage wasteland.

My song would be You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC. I'm up all night and I love to have fun! I tend to post more in the Playground than here though.

Okay, lets try the condensed version.

I'm 72. Yes, my AV is an old picture but it is/was me. I spent 44 years working in the oil fields all over the world but mostly Texas and Louisiana. The oil fields retired from me and a whole lot of other folks. Not much use for a petroleum geologist these days. I'm retired but probably work harder now than I used to.

I didn't start writing until my early to mid fifties. I have around 240 items posted here, including 2 poems. Poems? Me? No way. My writing for Lit has slowed down as my Mainstream writing has increased. Most of my mainstream stuff is YA and far away from Lit.

Lit is now my fun writing place and the AH is more or less my home on-line.

Aren't you glad I did the condensed version. :D

Clap Clap Clap Clap Clap

9.5 10 9.8 9.8 10 10
Thank you. As it happens, HAPPY JACK was the first Who song I ever heard, having been given the 45 single. That dates me. Other early music was Polka Party, Wolfman Jack, Tom Lehrer, and Korla Pandit.

Anything else I say will be used against me.

I loved The Who when I was young. But while my sister and all of our friends were mooning over Roger, my heart was taken by Keith and Pete!

Let's see
I have, well had, 8 kids. One died when she was 3. I still have a bunch at home including some I didn't birth. Seems like we live in a throw away society and that even includes kids.
One day I hope to write a best seller and buy a huge house for all the kids and elderly that get tossed to the side.

I volunteer as much as I can at our local food pantry. I hope to go in tomorrow at least for the morning if I'm feeling well enough. I have a bladder infection I think and it is beating my ass since Thursday. Been laying in bed watching youtube and not doing much else since then.

When I'm not home with the kidlings I like to road trip/tour with friends following our favorite band. I got to see them 7 times last year in several states!

I'm also 'mom' to a pug who my kids will say is more spoiled then them, and yeah that's probably true.

I became a grandma about a year ago and that little girl has me wrapped around her finger! I lover her so much!

I've been diagnosed with aspergers, bipolar, anxiety depression and PTSD, so it's hard for me to write some days. Most days. Hard for me to function. And hard to keep friends. But you do find out who your friends really are when you have a laundry list like mine.

I write mostly in erotic couplings because it seems easiest to use it as a default for me, although the series I'm working on now is in romance because I always set out to write a steamy naughty erotic story and if I'm lucky end up with readable romantic drivel.

None of the Who I know really fits, so let's go with Varieté Obscur. The title fits well enough.

me: professional STEMM nerd, autistic. Interested in sex as part of how people interact, so my stories tend to focus on what brings people to sleep together and what that does to them. I mostly write F/F but I try never to tell the same story twice.

Well, I'm a [redacted] year old [redacted] living in [redacted]. I've got [redacted] eyes and [redacted] hair.

I'm rather private as you can tell, so if you want to See Me, Feel Me, you're out of luck. Once, somebody managed to get me to give them some info about myself. Why Did I Fall for That? I Don't Even Know Myself, but I Won't Get Fooled Again. Now It's Your Turn.

I like stories where the characters grow and change, first times, pregnancy, exploring aspects of control.

I hate ethnicity being fetishized, but like diverse casts.

...I’m asking if you would take ten to jot down a brief bit about yourself and what you like to write (I’m aware that many of you write all the fuck over this place which both amazes and intimidates me)

Hi :D

So my first name really is Chloe, I'm vietnamese-chinese-polish-american and there’s a dash of French in their from the Indochinese French Colonial times so I come with a lot of hyphens, and my real surname is polish. I did NOT inherit those polish alcohol tolerance genes, which is unfortunate but now that I am older and wiser, far less embarrassing than it was when I was at College and refused to acknowledge my genetic limitations, but it sure makes for some good stories. If you ever read any of mine, you can take a guess at what's true to life :D

I signed up on LIT in April 2015 which makes it almost 4 years now and I'm younger than Tex in body, if not in mind. Actually, late 20's and in real life I'm an ER Nurse, which job I have survived in since graduating. I came to writing seriously about 5 years ago, with my partner's encouragement coz he loves my stories and said they were wasted just on him - and given my subject matter, he pointed me at Literotica as a venue to try out my writing on innocent bystanders.

So far, it seems to have worked. I've got 51 stories up on LIT with another one coming tonight, so over four years I've averaged about one a month, which is something I intend to keep up because I do enjoy the readers here as well as all the other writers here on the AH and scattered across LIT in general. I've got a few stories on Wattpad as well, but they go up here in LIT first and then I copy them to Wattpad. I've got one published short story and one published novel and more to come, all thx to getting started here on LIT and I write all sorts of weird and not so weird shit - uh, I mean stories. Stories, that's what I meant...

I'm a bit of a Mary-Sue writer, in that all my protagonists are - wait for it - either american-chinese, or chinese girls (well, there's Jeong and she's Korean but that's close to China....). I started with "First Time" and "Interracial" stories but since then I've done Science Fiction, Fantasy, Erotic Horror, Loving Wives, Incest, NonCon, Group Sex, Mature and Romance. Most of my hard-core followers on LIT come from my First Time and Interracial stories, altho there's a few from Loving Wives and some of the other categories and I have one alt id where I wrote a rather dystopian futuristic Sci-Fi story. It's a bit different from my usual stories so I decided to post it under a distinctly different author name to keep it apart from my usual stuff.

I find my inspirations for writing everywhere - in a line from a song, something someone says, something that happened to me or to someone I know or I've just read about. Sometimes it's just an idea that pops into my head, sometimes it's a question from someone and a couple of times it's been something someone here on the AH has said or commented on. I like to work songs into stories as part of the introduction, to help set the mood, and some of my story titles are taken from songs I enjoy or that fit the mood of what I'm writing. And I'm usually writing a couple of stories at the same time and I have a huge backlog of ideas listed out in a spreadsheet. I take a lot of notes....

Anyhow, that's me on LIT in a nutshell. In real life I'm as yappy and occasionally as weird as I am here and I have a horrible sense of humor, which works well in ER where totally sick jokes in the worst circumstances are truly appreciated. As in "You need a hand? Here, have this one...." - I'm on here a lot, it's a great de-stresser for me to come here and chat and I really enjoy all the other denizens of the AH, so if you hang around, you'll get to know me better.

I really enjoy writing, outside of work, it's what I spend a good chunk of my spare time on and I'm kind of serious about it, in that my long-term plan is to be able to write full-time and make enough money from it to justify writing for a living. It is a long term plan though, so I'm just taking it step by step and enjoying myself along the way. Along with making jokes about Aussies :D (I have cousins in Adelaide and there's enough Aussie's here than I can indulge myself). Guess I should add I have a black belt in Taekwondo, train in TKD and Hapkido, love sparring and the sword and knife fighting training, I'm a little bit of a gun nut and I do a lot of target and range shooting and I like hiking and the outdoors in general. In summer, I do a little bit of skydiving. I like travelling around and seeing the world - and thx to my Dad's job I got to do a lot of that when I was living at home. Sadly, now that I have to work and pay for it ourselves, I've done a lot less but one day, I am going to go to Kathmandu and trek to Everest Base Camp.

Music - heavy metal and K-pop and a lot of old music.
Reading - I read anything and everything and between my partner and I, we have close to 10k books lying around the house. 75% of them are his and I have a lot of reading ahead of me....
Food - I love Chinese, Italian and Indian but I'll try anything (those chinese genes... if it's not moving, I'll eat it. If it is moving, it goes on the chopping board until it stops and then I'll cook it and eat it). I like my steaks rare and my dim sum often.
Where do I live? Up near the northern border, east of the mountains, west of the sun, or something like that. Where did I grow up? Small town Kansas and a lot of summers in San Francisco where I have some more cousins.

And I drink a lot of coffee.
And if you didn't guess from this, nothing I write (well, almost nothing) is short....

And BTW, welcome, and what a great way to introduce yourself and learn something about the rest of us

I guess I never made a formal post to announce myself, I sort of slipped in to stand in the back when no one was looking. I’ve managed to make enemies and friends here (woo!) so I suppose I can count myself as a regular?

I intentionally/unintentionally try to remain ambiguous in regards to personal aspects of my life simply because no one irl would know or even speculate as to this side of me. I’m a rather private person as a whole. That being said, I’m American, a woman and a lot younger than most would guess. I can’t name a Who song, though I might recognize one if I heard it; if I had to pick a song to describe me I’d say Chris Thomas King, If it Ain’t One Thang, It’s Two. Life loves to fuck me over.

I have training in writing (and music and film) but it has only been recently that I’ve started to focus on it a lot. I am a non conformist in all aspects of my life, I work from home as a seamstress. I’ve been divorced for a while and am recently single again, so there’s that.

As far as writing, I don’t stick to one genre/category. I write what comes to me and most of what I’ve posted I do ironically...shiny vampires? (Puke) I can do better than that. Everyone wants to remake fairytales? Fuck yeah, I can do that too! Where exactly is the cock on a centaur? Opinions seem to vary on Lit so I took it upon myself to throw in my two cents worth. Elves? Yawn. I’ve got a doozy on the back burner but my cultists would probably lynch me if I started another epic before finishing my other three. Regardless, my strength in writing isn’t so much the sexual aspect I’d imagine but more delving into the mentality of a character and somehow making the reader become emotionally invested in them.

As per my tastes in reading on Lit, I go through all categories. I have no problem reading/watching most types of porn and generally traverse several genres in a sitting, simply out of curiosity.

Despite it all, I am a relatively easy person to talk to. I’m honest to a fault and if someone is being a twat I’ve no qualms telling them as much. I don’t bother with the petty shit of some folks, like down voting stories (and I track my stats so I know that whatever enemies my honesty has made me resulted in someone downvoting all of my stories).

So, that’s me in a nutshell. Thanks to the OP for the thread, it is nice to get some insight to the others on the AH!

Hi there JanusGoneAwry! I'm mostly a backgrounder here in AH, which is funny because exhibitionism/voyeurism is my main thing. I live in NYC, in the village. I can see men and women changing in the windows. I know by their voice when each neighbor is having sex. My neighbors across the courtyard enjoy lighting candles, climbing into the bath together by the window, and knowing that everyone is watching their latest naughty installment. On the weekends, orgasms often rent the evening air. I enjoy adding to that symphony and knowing that there are others listening to my partner's pleasure. This is the world I like to write about in bits and flashes. I was not always a part of it. I had a long struggle with anxiety when I was a youngster. But now I am an urban naturist, learning to master the art of balancing respectful, non-sexual social nudity with the mutual enjoyment of exhibitionism and voyeurism. I spend my summers on a New Jersey beach surrounded by hordes of naked bodies. I go to nude events in the city and enjoy being a part of a community of strong women and men not ashamed of their bodies. I daydream a lot. I write a lot (all my life, in various capacities). I'm here to explore the depths of human sexuality. To ask a lot of questions and strike up a lot of (amazing so far) conversations. To offer a little bit of my time and imagination for others' enjoyment, as well as my own. I don't need any drama. I just do my thing and offer stories that involve transformations, liberations, discoveries, much like the ones that I have gone through myself.
No specific song to offer. I prefer to put life on shuffle and wait with amusement to see what comes up.

I like to think that "Won't Get Fooled Again" is a personal motto of mine, but I think I'm being optimistic.

I am a bit disappointed that EB did not think to label me with "A Legal Matter".

I'm Melissa. I'm not really a baby, although I have often been addressed as such, both in affection and derision.

I came to Lit because I was writing a memoir of my experiences and I did not know anywhere else that might accept my tale of addiction, crime, imprisonment, sex, love and redemption. ( My Fall and Rise )It was well received and I realized I had acquired another pernicious habit, I had to keep writing.

I thought long and hard about what to write next. My life was in a good place, I was starting college, involved in the first real loving relationship of my life, and wondering if I had anything else to say. I could have mined deeper into the dark side, and may well do so again at some point, but what began to fascinate me was the depth and range of the quieter drama that occurs in the relationships of "ordinary" people. Thus was begun my current series, Mary and Alvin.

I worked very hard at learning to become a good person. I succeed a fair amount of the time.
