Former Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko said Joe Biden never asked him to close an investigation, challenging President Donald Trump’s unsubstantiated claim that Biden abused his power when he was vice president to protect his son.

Politico

didya watch teh video?

Perilous times for Trump: By 45%-38%, Americans support impeaching him over Ukraine allegations, poll finds

Those numbers are higher for Republicans than I would expect them to be right now. Overall, that is a huge swing.

I remember when it was just busybody who would follow you from thread to thread demanding you do his research for him.

Now it's the whole RWCJ.

Even after providing citations, they only deflect, cry 'fake news', or (derpy's fave) claim "that's not what he said/did", regardless of the printed or video evidence indicating that is exactly what was said/done.

Silly bunch of trump sheep, the lot of them. :D

Biden should test his theory that his friendships with Republicans can be productive by convincing them not to defend Trump for trying to sic Chinese and Ukrainian prosecutors on him, and instead to support his removal from office.

If he did that, he’d be a hero forever.:)

Trump

whatcha fraid of:confused:

Schiff Admits There Was No Quid Pro Quo.

That's fine, but federal appellate court decisions hold precedence over any bureaucratic policy statement. In other words, you're just mistaken as to the law.

In his own words.

Federal law defines as criminal the solicitation of aid – anything of value – for a political campaign from a foreign national or foreign government, whether the thing of value arrives or not.

Yes, this thread can be closed down now, including pursuing the whistleblower. Standing on the White House lawn this morning, Trump confirmed all of the charges in the whistleblower complaint and doubled down by calling on yet another country to dig up dirt on a political opponent.

The Trumpettes no longer have a damn thing to say in attacking the whistleblower. Trump has confirmed it's all true.

You are delusional. Read the official transcript of the conversation and then go back to what the whistleblower alleged. Releasing the transcript caused a major release of shit into the pants of a number of Democrats, especially Schiff's. He orchestrated this whole thing, lied repeatedly about it and now he's cornered.

This is pretty sad. :(:rose:

Here is a link to the official transcript.

And here is some of the text:
President Zelenskyy: cI'm very grateful to you for that because the United States is doing quite a lot for Ukraine. Much more than the European Union, especially when we are talking about sanctions against the Russian Federation. I would also like to thank you for your great support in the area of defense. We are ready to continue to cooperate for the next steps specifically we are almost ready to buy more Javelins from the United States for defense purposes.

The President: I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike... I guess you have one of your wealthy people... The server, they say Ukraine has it.
Later he added:
The other thing, there's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it... It sounds horrible to me.
Now, let’s go the the complaint.
Multiple White House officials with direct knowledge of the call informed me that, after an initial exchange of pleasantries, the President used the remainder of the call to advance his personal interests. Namely, he sought to pressure the Ukrainian leader to take actions to help the President’s 2020 reelection bid. According to the White House officials who had direct knowledge of the call, the President pressured Mr. Zelenskyy to, inter alia:

initiate or continue an investigation into the activities of former Vice President Joseph Biden and his son, Hunter Biden; assist in purportedly uncovering that allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election originated in Ukraine , with a specific request that the Ukrainian leader locate and turn over servers used by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and examined by the U.S. cyber security firm Crowdstrike, which initially reported that Russian hackers had penetrated the DNC’s networks in 2016; and
meet or speak with two people the President named explicitly as his personal envoys on these matters, Mr. Giuliani and Attorney General Barr, to whom the President referred multiple times in tandem.
