And this is a small thing, but very important.

The Bodyguard does NOT believe in Dom/sub relationships. Period. He doesn't understand how a person could want anything like that. But he accepts that being a sub is a huge part of me, and who I am. I explained to him once that having him put something around my neck - not necessarily a collar, or even a thick chain, but SOMEthing that HE chose - would be something akin to his giving somebody vanilla an engagement ring. It's a symbol of wanting to be together for a long, LONG time.

He's obviously been thinking about that.

He got me a necklace for Yule, and put it on. He's actively trying to let down the other girl in the house, to get her to back off and move out as soon as he and I can afford rent on the new place by ourselves.

I love him.
