Got a few weeks before I declare the next set of newbie hopefuls a lost cause. If they are serious about learning more about BDSM then I would hope they show up if only to meet people who would be a good resource for demos and info. Even if I don't hook up with anyone, I still had lots of fun at the last munch - even thought I showed up 2 hrs early due to web site not reflecting current info - I met about 6 nice people who were there early, we went and hung out at another place until Munch time. I felt comfortable enough from the pre-munch to really enjoy myself at the Munch and meeting the rest of the gang. Nothing like a bunch of people being misinformed in the same way for a bonding experience.

Munch things are great for meeting the locals. But, for the most part, the locals don't usually put ads in things like collarme. They've already got their group and couple things set up and also a networking thing with actual people talking to one another.

I find the ones who are on collarme are singles looking, couples looking and newbies looking...not to mention the posers, losers, wannabes and get laid quick ass holes that are intermixed there in.

None of the people I know locally are posting ads. They have their fun, literally. Fetish parties are fun, if you have your partner already. They are also fun if you don't, but watching is all you really get to do, then. That just makes things worse for me, you understand. I want to participate and that is usually a no-no.
