I think you are trying to compare Apples and Oranges here. Both Canada and Australia are lower poulation countries with a strong commodity sector whereas the US is a higher population industrial/tech economy.

I am voting for Canada simply on the basis that its Public debt/GDP ratio is good and it has a stable continuity of government.
