This popped into my mind.. I've thought of asking it a few times before.. But I've always figured someone else asked it... Aw, who gives a fuck.

So, what clique did you belong to in High School? If you chose other, you gotta post what you were on here.

Definitions:

Populars - Speaks for itself, were you one of the "in-crowd" Did everyone want to be you?
Preps - Did you make honor role all the time? Were you a good little boy or girl? Always wore immaculate clothing, hated the stoners?
Jocks - Once again, speaks for itself, were sports your life?
Stoners - Are your high school days lost in a purple haze?
Nerds - Were you a straight A student? Did everyone else constantly cheat off your papers, then give you a wedgie?
Rejects/Outcasts/Geeks - Were you generally ignored? Did you just stay by yourself or run with your own crew?
Badass - Did you drink/smoke pot, but not enough to qualify you into the stoner category? Did you know the inside of the principal's office better than you knew your own house?

HEY! DON'T YOU PEOPLE READ?!?

You're supposed to say what you were if you chose other!!! ;)

I was a reject/outcast/geek. Though I should get honorable mention for nerdy leanings since people kept cheating off my papers and I helped teach the history class' section on WWII on account of knowing more about it than the teacher did.

But I was mostly the quiet one who wore dark colors and didn't talk to anyone till my senior year. My senior year I was a theater student, was in a band, got in trouble, still got straight As, and spoke to more people in that one year than I did in the previous three combined. :)

I chose "other"...

...because I was something of a floater in high school. I had people in and was welcomed by most every clique.

Thanks bluemuse, yay for people who read the directions!

And naudiz, you pretty much described my high school career right there, except I was never in band.

part of the college curriculum non honor roll, do every extra curricular thing, hang out with everyone, jocks, stoners whatever, but basically a goth chic freak.

I was never in the "in crowd," but I was never without friends from all cliques. I was a nerd--valedictorian. But I was also a cheerleader in early high school, and dated the football Cpt., which put me in with the "jocks" which in that town was the "in crowd"--they had a ten year record of making the state finals in football. I hung out with the drama crowd, full of "stoners" and "freaks" (both of which I was also), but I also had preppie friends and was college-track honor roll material--a la "preps."

I've apparently never been able to settle on a single role. I'm very uncomfortable with being pigeonholed. As soon as someone tells me I can't do something, I immediately want to do it, just to spite them for labelling me.

nerdy stoner outcast, which sucked at the time but isn't so bad now.

I voted other. I was in the principal's office clique. *innocent look* Honestly, it was not my fault, others made me do it, the devil made me do it, the boy behind me made me want to do it. *sigh* I had a chair in the office with my name on it. I never let the seat get cold.

Well, I was going to tell you about how I was a loner in high school, and nobody understood me, and how high school blows...

But then I thought I'd show my true distaste for cliques by boycotting your thread.

Nothing personal, they just rub me the wrong way.

Color me Rejects/Outcasts/Geeks. We were, as the popular/jock/cheerleader people called us, "Drama and Music fags." Isn't that wonderful? Warms the heart, eh?

<shudder.....>

*chuckles* Perfectly understandable Wiggles.. I'm not really trying to pigeonhole people here, I'm letting them qualify themselves if they wish to. I just wanted to get an idea of where different people on the board were during high school. Y'know what I mean?

And I was a total loner from about 4th grade when my best friend moved until 12th grade, so I understand how that is. Much love to the outcasts Wiggles.

depends on the year really

I was a cheerleader for the most part thru high school but my senior year I was a pot head....still got straight A's but decided my friends were geeks anyways and didn't really care after that.
I was also in the choir, drama, and the honor society....

I chose Outcasts, but I could've chose other too.

I wasn't popular or a prep, but I was able to talk to those people.
I was a sorta nerd, but I didn't really hang out with the nerds (I got mostly As and was on the academic team).
I wasn't a stoner, but I hung out with some.
Hung out with some jocks too.

I kinda talked to everyone without being friends with anyone except my other "outcast" friends who didn't really belong anywhere else.

I was one of those people that had many aquaintances (sp?) but very few close friends at my actual school. My best friend went to school about 15 minutes from mine. I would go and hang out with whichever group struck my fancy on a certain day. I could hang out in the "breezeway" way the smokers, or wander up to the "service lane" to hang with the potheads, or hang out in the gym with the jocks, or even just stick around the "caf" with other people.

I don't think I have ever been pigeon-holed into any one group - even as an adult.

Total reject/geek here. stereotypically so. HUGE bookbag, filled with about 175 lbs of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons gear, my last three poems, the extra-credit essay I was writing for American History so I wouldn't fail the damn course for a third time, and a huge stash of my tests and quizzes (no test got less than a 97 from me, ever), and an even bigger stash of "your son isn't doing his homework" notes from teachers. Pudgy freak who could quote the textbooks, and did, loudly, during class every time someone asked a question in class..

God, I'm glad I grew out of being such an arrogant prick. Kept me from having any real friends until I was 18. Now, most people seem to like me. I think it's because I use my talents to help them out wherever and whenever I reasonably can.

I chose other

I didn't go to high school very often because I was an expert truant who spent her days hanging out with the badass boys and shooting pool.

Much like RisiaSkye I never fit into a single role. I played sports. I smoked pot. I was a band geek. I edited the school paper.... and on and on.

Never did like labels...

I learned that High-School was a big pile of crap, early on. So I was the, "never was there to be in a clique", clique.

And thank's for letting me know how you've been, Angel...

I had to pick other. I was everywhere, knew and knew about everybody. Most of the people i hung with were several years older than myself.

I partyed with the good ,the bad and the ugly.

Office? Hell i had my own chair!

Like it was put to me more than once" If you didn't do it, I know damn well you know who who did." naturally i did, but i don't rat
and i damn sure not going to tell on myself.

THE MAN knew this and respected me for it.:D

Welcome to stonersville, population: Me.

But I was like the odd stoner, I was the one who never went to class but still got semi decent grades and a +1400 on their SATs.

And since then I've stopped smoking pot (ok maybe I still do a little bit I'm 19, it's my duty as a young person) but still I am too lazy to study for anything. God only knows how I make it in an ivy league school but somehow I manage.

My child, I was you 23 years ago. When something finally does capture your attention, you will study out of curiosity and interest in the subject. However, if you turn out like me, I doubt that you will ever study any harder than absolutely necessary. Enjoy this time in your life. Don't feel bad about not studying. Its a gift to be able to succeed in a good school with minimal effort.

Oh, and burn one for me while you're at it. ;)

I an one of those people who fell into the "other"
I was on the hockey team so I was a jock but I also was an A student in history and tech so I was also a nerd. But since I was on the hockey team no one would call me a nerd. Life was good, now I have found this room and life is even better.
