Where would you go?

2 areas:

1. Into Canada along the St Lawrence all the way to the Atlantic.

2. Head south until I reached the tip of South America

Im not telling then you could find me...

Really a quiet cabin up north...Maine, NH, VT...it is passed leaf peeper season and I love the feel of the vacation towns when everyone has left...and the cold new england nights by a roaring fire. Yeah that is where I would go.........

2nd star on the right, &, straight on till morning. Seriously, I would go someplace that's warm on a daily basis. Doesn't leave me much choice.

I've had an intense desire lately, to just pack my duffle, get in my car and start driving.

Without taking into account financial concerns... if you could just leave today and start driving, where would you go? What would you do when you got there? Would you assume a new identity? Would you send postcards to the people back home?

At the moment.... Toronto, to fuck her silly, with my real identity, and no postcards back home because they wouldn't know where I was anyways.

first I'd travel around a bit then when I'd seen my fill I'd build a log cabin in the mountains ( The Rockies or some place in the pacific north west ) and make furniture or sculpt.

But thats just a dream :(

Amsterdam. Adam asked me to visit.

But, if I reall was going to visit, I think I would be at Jim's house, let's say, ten hours? no potty breaks because I really want to see him!

I'd start driving east. No money concerns, I'd buy a new car, pack up my kids and drive east, maybe settle there. Somewhere... A new identity? Maybe.

I'd send a postcard to maybe one of my siblings to tell them I'm alright and not to worry.

There's a hell of a lot of this country I'd love to see, and i love to drive so this works well for me! I'd probably start by heading north to MO to visit Eumenides. Mainly cuz she'd kill me if I didn't go there first. Then across KS to CO, where I'd wave at StPetey while I drove through Denver.

Hrmm...I guess I'd keep going west through Idaho (probably without stopping) and across NV 'til I got to Ruby. I would have to hug on her for a while before continuing west to San Francisco where I would play tourist until I got bored (and visit with Sirenita in NoCal for a spell).

After that I'd head north again, through WA (where I would have to see Freaky and a few other dear friends). I think I'd schlep across the border to BC and wave at Brat before hitting the Transcanada over to Winnipeg (I have a good friend there I'd have to hug on for a while) and then maybe catch I-29 down through ND, MN and WI 'til I hit Chicago. I love Chicago. I would be hard pressed to leave.

But eventually I would have to make my way East. I think I'd wanna spend the summer in Maine. Eat nothing but lobster. lol Hit some of New England and see how much my hometown's changed since I escaped to Texas. Maybe round it off with a visit to some friends down the eastern seaboard. Then to Atlanta to visit with some other friends.

No I wouldn't change my name. I'm pretty good about sending postcards, so I likely would.

I know, way TMI, but you asked where I'd go. *smiles*

First I'd head down to Virginia to kidnap my friend from her base, and then it'd be off to Az. I'd rent a small condo with acess to a pool and lounge around like a lazy white lizard all day.

Postcards, no. Phonecalls, yes.

No new identity, who would follow me?

Seen my own country and most of Europe.

First I'd go down to Italy just to see the Vatican and a bit of Rome then I'd get on the next plane to New York, look at the city, buy a car and then drive all over the USA just to check it out.

No new identity needed.

I got room in my car if you wanna join me? LOL!

Well, if planes were involved, I'd trek all the way to Europe and travel to France, England and Germany, (maybe a few other places), but if I had to drive, Canada sounds like a good place to start. Nigara Falls baby!

Someplace warm and sunny, but with greenery, trees, preferably mountains and beautiful women. I would probably drive to the airport and get on an airplane bound for Tahiti.

What would you do when you got there?
Lay on the beach under an umbrella and fuck a beautiful French Polynesian woman.

Would you assume a new identity?
No reason to - yet.

Would you send postcards to the people back home?
Sure - just to rub it in. :D

Oh sure, it's my thread, and you don't even offer to stop in KC and visit?

Hmmmph.

Well see? How the hell was I to know that "Somewhere between lonely and gone" was a description of an intersection in KC?? :D

Tell ya what... I'll not only stop, but I'll stay and treat you to some BBQ. No really, on me! I *insist*!! lol

Actually, now that i know you're there, if my company makes good on it's threat to send me to KC for training, I'm gonna have to harrass you one night! =PP

Ok,but if anyone else is joining in the car I'm calling shotgun :)

Nah, just you and me, kiddo! We need room in the backseat for munchies and to stretch out when we need a break.

Besides, I'm gonna need someone who speaks Swedish when we go through Minnesota. :D

I would love to drive to New Orleans and stay a while. Then I want to drive those wonderful ocean roads on the West Coast. I want to go from the bottom of California all the way to the top and visit every person I know from lit on the way!:D

Hey, I thought it was as good a reason for why I need to be travelling with a guy whose ancestors were of the Viking persuasion...

Other excuses include:

1. But what if we find some Irish/English/Scots to conquor along the way??

2. Well, I understand they have a lot of herring there...

3. I really need his help picking out a new horned helmet!

and my personal favorite:

4. But he's the only one who knows how to steer the longboat!!

Probably wouldn't be 'til early next year. I'll let you know if/when it happens! Thanks!

Oh gawd, I'm the only one who would go to Vegas :D

I've been all over the US and Europe, and seen a lot of amazing things. But when I want to get away and have fun, I go to Vegas. I love the games and the people watching.

Only for a few days at a time, so no post cards, and no new identity.

There's a hammock in a garden, strung between plum trees....The fireflies, the crickets, the frogs, and the stars....She's there....That's where I want to be.....:rose:
