Where is Siren????

:p Not all of us. Some of us are are even single people who see other single people in real relationships away from the board! OMG, I think that makes us "NORMAL!"

Secrecy from the board at large (not from good friends) is called privacy, a concept that is foreign to some people, especially drama queens. Secrecy between two (or more) people in a relationship though would be poison. That kind of secrecy can result in broken hearts, faked deaths, irritated spouses, etc. etc. etc. JMHO. It isn't important for the board to know everything, or even anything, about couples here. As long as the couples know everything about each other, that's where I see truth as being critical.

i was so just posting a wisecrack~you should do what makes you happy.

although seeing a bunch of adults i like, admire and consider to be friends bicker over such silly things really does cause me much chagrin...

But seriously, I think our tendency to go looking for the perfect relationship these days, may be the best way of not finding one - if you look for something hard enough it's easy to fool yourself into thinking you've found it, and wind up stuck with something you never wanted.
A perfect point here. Everyone take note...

What silly things?

By the way, I have no problem with people who are sleeping with more than one person. As long as they are honest about it with all involved. Check out the link to Mia's followup thread about relationship "rules."

Hot damn - a perfect point!

I'd better note that one down for my up-coming self-help book - a compassionate guide for dispirited romantics who feel cheated that none of their relationships have lived up to their dreams:

'What the Hell Are You Looking for You Giddy Twat, Prince Fucking Charming?!'

(That's only the working title - my editors feel it might alienate some potential readers, and not really be conveying my sensitive, non-judgmental attitude)

Another working title may be "Follow your Dream." I hear the Flat Earth Society has publishing grants available. :)

I love the title. Very catchy. :D

:D A comment from awhile ago, but very accurate with hindsight.

And I was told by Mia to find a place where she supported Lance a bit ago. I didn't bother to search, but here it was, right in this thread! Looks like this was an out of line comment about you, too?

Ahh...Now I see what you were talking about. Personally, it doesn't matter to me - as one of his supporters - who his g/f is...if indeed he does have one.

We could also discuss your Lit b/f, couldnt we...if I was that sort of person, I could start all kinds of innuendo. :)

I like reading through these older threads, it gives me a sense of history.

It's a search thing. Search is re-indexing and when a person does vanity search, you never know what you'll get. So far I've just had the reasons I feel about Lance and Ishmael verified through history. Other than that, I miss Siren and Ginny...

I understand, I was merely commenting on my own interest.

I don't know either Siren or Ginny (they both left long before I began posting), but I can appreciate that sentiment.

Yup, this was before Patient1 and I were public knowledge although we were together back at the time of this thread. She eventually posted more than just her threatened innuendo and Patient1 put her on ignore as a result.

Yup! More than a year ago to a fellow litster- patient1. Of course, he CLAIMED to be republican and then decided he didn't want to vote for Bush in 2004. Bait and switch, I tell ya. :D

And thanks. We've been very happy together and hope to be for many many more years. As soon as I get him back to the correct political party. ;)
