Where/How to participate in private messaging ?

I'm new to Lit. and want to know how to access private massaging. Can anyone help me?

In the posting press the persons username. In the next screen press start conversation

Top right corner next to your name, the little envelope, click on it.

Or hover you pointer over the name of the person here in the forums, there will be a Start Conversation item at the bottom of the popup.

Same place, click on your name upper right corner. Then click on preferences. Uncheck the notify by email ones.
