Where do they do it?

And the heady feeling you get when you are so into the moment, so powerful in your sexuality, that you don't care when someone catches you...you just look at them, lips swollen, disheveled, and revel in your wickedness.

Okay, I'm stopping now. http://www.addis-welt.de/smilie/smilie/diverse/redface.gif

Does a men's restroom at the airport in Copenhagen count as a strange place?

Nope, wasn't me, nuh-uh.

:D

Like others, your wondering got me to wondering about the sex scene settings in my stories. Much to my surprise, there actually was a little variety in the sites. Some of the odder ones being: a kitchen counter, tool shed, fire tower, and on the levee of the Mississippi. Here's the breakdown:

A Special Christmas Present: on the living room carpet in front of the fireplace

A Special Photo: in bed, BUT, it’s the first time and he carries her there

After-Class, After-Life Affair: in a car on the way to and at a cemetary

Burying Uncle Hiram's Ghost: tool shed, in a van

Cindy's Sex Seminar: hotel room

Handling Things in Central Park: Central Park (where else?)

Love/Loving on the Levee: on the Mississippi River levee

Mix & Match: hotel room

Moonlight & Revelation: in a lake

Nurse Made/Nailed: backseat of a car

Randi Comes Home (series): various beds, the shower, in the den

Seasonal Seduction: dorm room

Sure Cure For Depression: in a van

Sweet Dreams, Cousin: bed, kitchen counter, couch, car, etc.

Towering Passion: Forest service fire tower

Waiting for Melinda : in the front seat of a car parked in the rain

You are just plain mischievous Imp and you stir up all kinds of personal dilemmas with type of post.

Bobby Sees Everything: in a field
Bonking for Britain: in a field
Immortal Ecstacy: in a field
Joy: in a field and car and bed
Justice: in a car that's in a field
Fellatio Isn't Incest: in a field
Shaving Rupert: starts in a field ends in bed
The Blow Job: in her mind
Burning Bridges: moves from car park to hallway to bed
Surprised: in bed

If you will excuse me - I've got to go and water the grass :D

It gets worse - in the three stories I'm currently completing one takes place exclusively in a field, the other over a field and the third in several places with not a blade of grass in sight :D

So now I'm thinking why and the most obvious answer is all my memorable RL sex has happened in the open air and have to come down on Yui's side (and believe me I would if I could) and admit the added dimension of semi-public sex is a huge turn on.

Neon,

Gotta admit, I never took you for such a bucolic, nature loving (in several senses of the word) type guy. I bet you've got an old FFA (future fornicators of America) jacket in the back of your closet. :)

None took place in a bed, one participant was not even horizontal.

Suggestible Suzie - In a college laboratory. (Fellatio)

A Surfeit of Bard - On a theatre rehearsal stage. (No Sex)

Phantom of the Rush Hour - In a crosstown bus. (Frottage)

Shopper’s Orgy - In a sex shop. (Ridiculous)

Santa Claus Is Coming - In the living room close to the tree. (Toys)

The Major & Corporeal Punishment - In an office. (Spank)

I don’t know why, but a bed just seems so commonplace.

I just learned that an “Ordinary” was the name of an old penny farthing bicycle so perhaps a future story will feature some Ordinary Sex.

in the series of stories I am working on all my people have sex in a sleazy hookers' motel. All the characters are form different walks of life but they all have this hotel in common. Some have it for disgression, and some becaus eit cheapens them. Many other reasons as well.

I was talking with a RL friend and made the offhand comment that none of the sex in my stories takes place in a bed. (In retrospect, I do have one story -- my NonHuman "Ghouls ..." that does, but it's quite unusual for other reasons.)

Anyway, it got me wondering how many of us write our sex predominantly in locations other than the bedroom -- and why.

Discuss ...

:rose:

Great question!!

It made me think about the story that I have published here (hotel room, but only once in bed. Other times in a chair and in the shower) and the soon-to-be published second chapter (Lecture hall, but at night, back of a limo at a drive-in, bedroom, office).

Hmmm...you definitely are on to something here.

For my stories it is partially to add some spice to the story, and partially due to personal preference. I tend to like unusual places in real-life - gf's front yard (at 3 a.m.), her laundry room, the drive-in (not unusual 30 years ago, but hard to find one these days. Found one though. ), a walk-in cooler (NOT recommended, LOL), etc. Not exhibitionism per se, because other than the front yard occasion, there was very little chance of being caught.

IMO, the reason most stories have sex scenes occuring in places other than bed is for variety - there are only so many ways to write variations of "They met; they fucked." The best way for most authors to make their stories stand out is to vary location.

It's also something that most people can identify with - I bet most people here have their own lists of places other than bed that they had sex.

stocks : 1 count
Bath: 1 count
Floor: 1 count
Play pool :1 count
Sofa: 4 counts
Stage: 1 count
lift: 1 count
dining chair:1count
phone: 1 count
Cyber: 1 count
Hospital bed: 1 count
Bed:10 counts

I have a bit of variety there I think*L*

I'm with you there -- both with Yui and with the semi-public turn on. :D

hrm... had to do a mental recount.
beach
hammock
one story with no sex ...kinda well sorta...hanging from the ceiling sex
bed
bed
porch
beach
ohmigod... this sounds a bit boring... must *rectify*

In looking over mine, the bed seems to be as comon a venue as any other. That's not to sy there is no spice.

I've written scenes:
On a Farris Wheel
In Zero-G
in An estate shop
at a resturant
in an eleveator
on the floor before a roaring fire
in a sports car
on the balcony
in a closet
in just about every room in the house

It seems I have a habit of setting the more important love scenes in bed, while many of the previous go rounds for my couples occure in whatever spot passion takes them.

One advantage the bed hes is that you aren't fighting the enviornemnt in your descriptions. Sex in a sportscar is a nightmare longistically (both is rl & writing). Explainging exactly how they got in such a position can often lead to as much description of bodies positioning as of the sex and can squash the immediacy of the scene.

I think differnt places are fun to write, and to imagine. When I want a scene to convey a lot more about the feelings and intamacy of the characters I tend to take them to bed, where I can concentrate on those descriptions and put the compass & protractor away ;)

I don't believe any of you for a second! You folks can't seriously say that you have not had sex in a public place! Not even one? Not even a car? Shame. :D

I think the only bed scene I have so far is one with violence, a man being raped by his girlfriend. I never really thought about it too much, but now that you bring up the issue. When I wrote that story, that was perhaps my unconscious perspective of the bedroom. I suppose I have always viewed the bed as a place that is non-fullfilling, and dull, or conservative, content, but never exciting.

:)

Not necessarily so. Mwahahaha

:)

I just view it as a place to SLEEP. Plus, if I don't have sex there, then I don't have to sleep on the wet spot. :D

bed
ladies room in a bowling alley/car
bed
bent over a chair
bed (tied)
forest against a tree
shower
computer chair
bed
tied to an ironing board
on a sofa (lover's lap)
bed
garden (standing)
in a rowing boat on a river
bath
bed
floor/bed
kitchen (standing against a counter)
shower
lift/chair/against a wall/tied to bed

A surprising amount of variation, but still 8 bed sequences. Hmmmmmm

Hmm. Let's see.

A Treat for Halloween: mostly in a barber's chair.

Bill and Ruby: Bed

Buzz Me: Foreplay in an office and bar, climax in bed.

Fatima: Bed. The cuffs made it rather less than vanilla though.

Physical Therapy: Bed

Ruby and Bill: Bed

Sasha and Karen Night 1: A futon so I guess that's a bed.

The Dream: Bed

The Orange Slip: Sofa then bed.

The Tease: VIP cubicle in a strip club, bed, then on stage at strip club.

Mostly bed it seems. Not surprising. I like being comfortable when making love. And I'll cheerfully sleep on the wet spot if it bothers my partner.

I'm even more conventional than the horsie, I guess.

*nuzzle* It's all right dear one. It merely shows that we eschew novelty for its own sake and work on building intense emotional and sensual connections that trascend mere physical setting.

Or something. :)

I'll put in a good word for myself on who ends up having sex in my stories ... I think I spend all of my exoticism there. ;)

Hmmm... lets see, my characters adventures:

Kitchen Counter
Bathtub
Living room coffee table
Living room couch
Living room recliner
Living room floor... etc.
Bathtub
Office
Office parking lot
School nurses office
School locker room
School TV Studio
Dorm room

Oh, and the bedrrom... once.

Probablly more that I'm missing. ;)

A Birthday Kiss - An alleyway, then into bed.

Faithful - On the beach (then some really evil shit in a garden).

Four Get Naked (& Knackered) - In the swimming pool and garden.

Living The Fantasy Ch. 01 - In the living room.

Living The Fantasy Ch. 02 - Kitchen, then shower.

Living The Fantasy Ch. 03 - Office.

Living The Fantasy Ch. 04 - In the car.

Living The Fantasy Ch. 05 - In a filthy pit in the forest.

Loving in a Winter Wonderland - In front of a roaring fire, in the living room.

Public Humiliation - (My favourite - so sexy!) - In the car, while driving, then in a clearing in the woods.

Santa's Dungeon - In Santa's dungeon. :D

Secret Games - On a bed in a hotel room.

The Letting - Sexual ritual, in a nightclub (includes sex on a frame).

The Literotica Olympics Day 01 - Sports stadium.

The Triple Treat - A cornfield.

Zodiac Girls Ch. 12 - Stonehenge - on the stones.

Nope, I'm not conventional. Not in r/l either. :p

But, who said missionary can't be incredibly sexy, cos it can! I guess that depends on the people involved, but being fucked furiously, with him on top of me, pinning me down, slamming into, fucking me hard and deep, holding me tight, squeezing me, as he stares into my eyes - WOW!

Of course, there is something very sexy about being taken from behind. Ok, enough.

Lou :p
