Where did you get your name?

Nothing special, here: I like strap-ons, I like stories involving said apparatus (both writing and reading). These days, I find it too vulgar, though, and wish I'd picked something more sensible.

My mommy gave it to me. The no.2 I added 'cause there are 2 if not more here.

I am going thru a fantastic growth period in my life and I wanted my name to reflect that. So I picked my real middle name and doubled it and added "life" I guess you could call it a current personal affirmation.

Welcome to lit, I know it has been a few months now but welcome non the less. Sharing is not a requirement here as you are aware but it is certainly encouraged LOL. more importantly the exploration of ones own thoughts and hidden urges. Seek and and be rewarded

I always thought Stacy was just such a beautiful name, and I wanted something to reflect the beautiful woman I felt inside me. I had no idea that the meaning of the name is 'resurrection'. Somehow, that, in conjunction with the TG was incredibly profound when I discovered it. A rebirth. Fitting for someone like me.

The TG is transgendered.

:)

Love it.. not all names are about "cockmuncher" or "nippleflicker" although I would love to hear the story behind those names as well. Thank you for sharing Stacy and as you make your way along the journey of life... stop and have an climax or two along the way.

Thank you for your kind words!

I have big brown eyes... and I wanted something that had an air of innocence about it. but I am often called wee one... which works out cause I am not very tall.

There are a lot of very sexy and erotic names out there. Some very naughty and taboo, I find a few to be an instant turn on, drawing me to view the profile. So sexy people, please share with us the origin of your lit name.

Whisperinginthegrass- While in high school parting down by a pond. A friend and I drifted away from the part into a field of -yes you guess it- tall grass. we had a very wonderful time exploring each other and enjoying the cum we drew from each others bodies. Many years later I was able to reconnect with her and we talked about that night and how I had always carried a special place for her in my heart. One of the surprising things she revealed to me was that one of the strongest memories of that night for her was me whispering to her, asking her about what she wanted, needed. It was her pleasure I was seeking. She said that she could never hear the word "whisper" without thinking about me or that night.

So just a few scant feet away from a full blown party out in nature, laying in the tall grass... i was born----whisperinginthegrass[/QUOT

Soo many good reasons to go with "hunnyblonde". I think most of them are obvious.

And yes, I'm a honey blond. LOL

Awesome thread, love it love it! Enjoyed reading all of the replies - especially the OP. Really tugged on my heartstrings and reminded me of being so young and experiencing everything everything for the first time. The memories are awesome enough to say it twice.. Hehe

Just a word/name I'm afraid.

I choose it because it couldn't be traced back to me, and it sounded ok. the 123 because kudram was taken.

I must have seen it somwehre once, can't recall where tho.

I was taking a classical lit class at the time, and Cypris is a surname or alternate name for Aphrodite ("from Cyprus") that I thought had a nice ring to it. I'm not sure why I added the 'Lady' part. Seems like of pretentious now, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Mine? I have explained it before but for newcomers:

oggbashan is an old nickname I was called at boarding school over 50 years ago. When I left the school no one knew or used it, so when I wanted a pen name, dragging a redundant nickname from my distant past seemed like a good idea.

How did I get it?

My parents were abroad and didn't write very often. Getting a letter was an important event at the school. In every one of the small books of stamps sold in the village post office was an advertisement for a free correspondence course on the Catholic Church which would be sent weekly 'under plain cover'.

I sent off for the course. But I made a mistake. Everything we took to the school had to be labelled or marked with our school number. Mine was 099. I thought that it would help to include that number on my address, like an apartment number, so I added '099' after my name.

That was totally unnecessary. My real surname is so unusual that no pupil at that school has ever had the same surname as me.

But the correspondence course mail added 'Ogg' hyphenated after my surname. My form tutor, who was one of the Classics masters, would distribute the mail at the end of the last class. When he saw '-Ogg' he made a weak joke and called me Rex Bashan (Og, King of Bashan, who features in the Old Testament - see my profile). My fellow students laughed, so every week he would repeat the joke. Therefore I became Oggbashan for the rest of the time at the school even after the correspondence course ended. Ogg, not Og, because the number was 099, not 09.

When I subscribed to Literotica I changed the name to all lower case to avoid using the shift key, hence oggbashan. Now I have been using it for over 10 years and more people know me as oggbashan than ever attended my old school.

That is a GREAT story.. Thank you

I love the word ebony to describe black people.
It sounds so erotic.
Princess kind of sucks but I couldn't think of anything at the time.
Ebony Empress? No thanks and I'm not a mistress so I didn't want to go with that.

Basically I'm a geek, love sci fi, fantasy, horror stuff. I tend to gravitate towards antiheroes, and I like exploring the dark side of life, taboo subjects, the left hand path, etc. So went with the dark side practioners from Star wars.

One of the definitions of Cipher in the dictionary is :
a : a method of transforming a text in order to conceal its meaning —

I like to be mysterious..concealed if you will..
I was also trying to be creative

The letters in my name form a specific sentence in my language, which isn't really easy to translate into english (so I guess it's an inside joke only for a prompt few).

The numbers on the other hand are simply my birth year and current age when I registered.
So yeah, kinda super simple and boring...

I had an earlier Lit account, but the name was just so ridiculous that it was impossible to take seriously, and hot women laughed while their boyfriends kicked sand in my face.

Once I adopted the deviously clever tactic of using as a monicker a PHYSICAL FEATURE - my green, deep-set eyes, well, now no one takes me seriously either, and, while women still occasionally laugh, no boyfriends kick sand in my face. Because this is a digital message board, and sand, which is composed of tiny eroded pieces of rock, doesn't exist. What I thought was "sand" before, being "kicked," was actually my dog, pawing his basket of toys in an arc onto my keyboard.

A good name is so key to a happy life.

I feel weird asking my parents why they chose this name for me. I suppose they must have had delusions of grandeur when they came up with it, or perhaps they had zero appreciation of verbal irony. Part of me will always wonder, but another part of me lives in mortal fear that they might bring up the subject, and Christ that would be awkward.
