I haven't seen those very scenic people around here in some time. Have family concerns taken up all their time?

and Lin & IcingSugar.
They are alive and well, and live in a seaside house far from civilisation. They got phone, but the carrier signal is too weak, so the background noise is disturbing modems. I get the occational email now and then on good days, but it's basically a 'no internet' living.

I don't think I could live like that. I've never lived more than five minutes away from a grocery store, let alone with no Internet access.

Thanks, Liar :rose:

Now if we can only get the rest of them to check in...

Whaddayamean? Internet has been around since the 70's (or something like that). It has been big for just a couple of years.

Anyway, I could live like they do too. But right now it's not an option, since I'm edjakayting mahsself.

Mea culpa, I didn't say that right. I've never lived more than five minutes away from a grocery store. And I wouldn't want to live anywhere that there's no Internet access. I consider both conditions to be essential amenities of civilization. I've only been on the Internet since 1992, however. I didn't have a computer until then.

The creation date for the Internet is something of a controversy. Originally ARPA was trying to establish a practical computer network. The original work was done with NCP. However, the actual establishment of the Internet was not considered done until the switch from NCP to TCP (specifically TCP/IP) in 1984. Prior to the Internet, there was ARPANET which was pretty much a reasearch tool.

Back to the original subject....destinie posted a few days ago but I have not seen Renz in a while...Dest's last post makes me hope that everythings alright, but I'm sure they will let us know if they want us involved in anything.

I miss them both. I also miss Ray Dario, WhisperSecret and MathGirl. Where does everybody go? Is there a life beyond the board?
