Thanks, Art... It was a bummer for us... We have talked with our vet... and he is thinking that it was an emotional problem due to her being in season and having seperation anxiety... We are going to give her another shot in the family... but it sure makes me nervous...

Mr. E - I know how difficult it is to have to put an animal down like that. But with kids around especially, it had to be done. That was a great story to the kids about the puppy now chasing butterflies through the fields. I am sure that did make them feel better. It did me. ^5^5

Thanks, MoM... ^5^5 As I said, we are going to try her again... She didn't attack any of the kids and has never even growled at them...We are going to get her fixed as soon as she finishes, though... She has bad hips anyway...

Mr E......it is great to see you, but i wish it was for a happy reason, i am sorry about the puppy. bitches in heat will do the strangest things (kinda like a woman in need)...........i hope the rest of the puppies are fat and happy.....and that mom will be better in a while.

Mayi...! Wonderful to see you, hon.. The rest of the puppies are doing just fine... they don't notice a thing... Mom is still a bit nervous this morning... but she is calming down... See you when you make it back...

Mr E - So sorry to hear of the loss of the puppy and that you also have to get rid of the lab. I understand how hard it must be to lose two pets. You said just the right thing to your children. It even helped me.

Sorry to hear about the pup...I grew up on a farm...seems like we were always losing an animal of one kind or another....hard lesson for kids to learn...but a valuable one...hang in there my friend...
