Nice thought, way too easy! No, we went with BBQ beef brisket and ALL the trimmings. And after evening snacks the only thing left is a few cans of sodas and a couple of portions of blackberry cobbler.

No, a cassette tape, one of the local radio stations (101 The Fox) plays Alice's Restaurant every Thanksgiving and I taped it from that. I have tried to find Guthrie's original and it is no where to be found.

That would be a lot of miles on that couch from Denver to KC!

OH, my aging heart! You poor dear, you have never heard Arlo Guthrie doing "Alice's Restaurant"? Well, it is old ditty, so old I cannot find it on any medium, cassette, record, 8-track or CD. It is a silly song that tells a lot about the truths of life in an amusing way and it starts out in Alice's Restaurant but Alice's Restaurant isn't a restaurant at all. It is approximately 20 minutes long and it is just a funny little song.

Wow, I feel older all of a sudden.

Rooster, trust me, he will sleep, and then he will be gone to college before you believe it is possible. Enjoy this time where all the little bugger does is eat, fill his diaper and sleep. He will be running off to do 100 things without good ole dad too soon.

And you gotta get all these little moments in pictures too. It helps to bring back the innocent times. It doesn't hurt to write down events in a journal either. You will see things differently than his mother does, so write it in your words. You can give a copy of it to her on Mother's Day in 15 years or so. The voice of experience lifts its ugly head! LOL

Busy weekend

Both here and R/L!

As you probably have seen in earlier posts the party went well. Once the crowd dispersed, we crashed, too pooped to pop.

Well, another sunny morning, after a little shower yesterday afternoon. It is time to climb back up the ladder and finish prepping the house for painting. The packing is at a stand still and of course the yard is never finished.

Kayte-- I hads a great weekend. I got to see my friend & her 2 little boys. Talk about a handful! We did not get the campsite set up. We are waiting to see if we might be able to set up in a different spot, away from all the noise & bugs! Should know by next weekend when KR goes down for his orientation. Hopefully we will have enough space to put it. We just got a hugh 3 room tent this year! I will finally have enough room to change in the morning without having to step outside of the tent just to put my costume on! Hope things have gotten all smoothed out with your Master. Hugs!!
