As for Jenna...of course hanging a noose in a tree was a racially motivated act. But no black kids got beaten nearly to death now did they? Why isn't the attack on the white kids considered a racially motivated hate crime when it is obvious that it was racially motivated? Oh wait, that's right, only white people can be racists.

I won't criticize your outrage at those statements. The word "nigger" is used namby pamby these days from everybody. And I don't appreciate it's use here. I'm not being politically correct...I'm just recognizing that that word, used as it is in those examples, offers very little (in the examples cited). The only reason I feel it's wrong is I'd never say "nigger" to a black friend. I might call him bro' though--but I do that to my non-black friends too; one wonders wonder that might be offensive?
