When it doesn't fit any category

Thanks!

I went ahead and posted it under Novels and Novellas, so we'll just see what happens.

Thanks everyone for the advice & guidance!

Which category?

I’m working on a triangle-ish story.

One relationship is pure Erotic Couplings, with warm-and-friendly, recreational, fairly explicit sex. The other is pure Romance/HEA with gauzy, touchy-feely sex. (This is what happens when your characters hijack your stories.)

My concern is that Romance readers maybe put off by the explicit sex, and EC readers mayfind the HEA ending an anticlimax. Where do you experienced authors think it belongs?

I would go with Romance or Erotic Couplings. Romeo and Juliet does not have an HEA ending, yet it's considered Romance.

That's true, but maybe if it was posted here "cold" - as if somehow it had never been done before - then who knows what the reaction would be? :)

You should have put it in Loving Wives, that way all the anon commentators can tell you where you can stick it.

I have had no issues with Romance readers being put off by explicit sex.
