When I Was a Kid....

WIWAK time felt like it was standing still... like watching paint dry. Days, to weeks, to months and before you know it another year has gone in a blink it seems!

WIWAK we went to the Quincy's steakhouse or Golden Corral after church on Sundays

WIWAK.. the box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese seemed like it served a lot....now, when I make it, (which is once in a blue moon, ) I think to myself...There are more than ONE servings in this box?????????????

WIWAK I sucked on Tootsie Roll Pops all the time no one noticed that I can recall, now it seems as I notice every guy looking when I am having a TRP.......

WIWAK you could call erasers 'rubbers' and no one cared.

WIWAK I had an Atari 2600 woody model that I loved. At 10 yrs old, I used to get up in the middle of the night and sit my ass on the floor Indian style at 2am so that I could play without interruption by my 3 siblings. My mom said I didn't need more than 5 games because there were school clothes and new shoes that she needed to buy and something about having to buy groceries feed us. I didn't know then how her priorities could be so far out of whack. :D

Oh, and Dragster sucked then, and it still sucks now. lol

Bad times

WIWAK we had dinner as a family every night, there was no excuse for not being there

WIWAK, both my aunt and grandma used to place a single stick of Juicy Fruit gum in my birthday cards....and then throw in $5.00 as well.....I never realized how rich I was back then....

WIWAK ........ cartoons showed that the world could be saved or destroyed with a 3.5" Floppy.

Wiwak, you had to listen to a dial-up modem judge you before you looked at Internet porn.

Wiwak, you weren't real friends unless you exchanged bracelets (that you wore on your ankle).

Wiwak, nothing was cooler than the agrocrag.

WIWAK summer time mean ice pops from the freezer, and the plastic wrapper that inevitably cut the edges of my lips from sucking on them.

Now, there's an image....

WIWAK I would lie down in my garden and watch the clouds drift by with my doggy (RIP) resting by my leg :)

WIWAK, the good humor man came down the street about twice a week during the summer, but I seldom was treated to the ice cream by mom and dad.

Now that I'm an adult and can afford it, the good humor man is rare.

But he came by the other day, and I bought my family ice creame!
