"ANY TRAVEL IS STRONGLY DISCOURAGED. IF YOU LEAVE THE SAFETY OF BEING INDOORS, YOU ARE PUTTING YOUR LIFE AT RISK."

posted about the weather here for tonight and tomorrow, it makes me really glad that I told them at work already that I most likely wont be in tomorrow due to the weather.

Heh. Me too.

I brought home a bunch of work, and can log in from here if we still have power. But they closed the schools at noon, and have already cancelled for tomorrow, so the kids and I are hanging out and playing board games tomorrow. Nothing short of a fire is making me leave my house.

Chicagoland.

I have about an hour drive to work on a good day during normal traffic. I'm not willing to make it much more than that with bad weather and people being stupid.

I hope there are no agoraphobics in your area, as this would merely encourage them.

Send it towards St. Louis if you can. :)

meanwhile it's abnormally warm here.

i haven't had the heat on in the past three days and I was just wishing that I hadn't already put away the fans.

see that's the weird thing. 4 days ago (New Year's Eve) the high for the day was around 65. The weather people all said expect anywhere between 6 and 12 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow along with sleet and frozen rains and all sorts of other nasty stuff.

How terribly rational of you. ;) Maybe at least you can have a snowball fight tomorrow? Is it dangerous to venture into your yard? (Remember I live in Texas; snow is a pretty thing we see in movies.)

I'm sure that once it leaves y'all it'll wander on down and find it's yuckiness here.

We've had rain almost all day and they're calling for it for the rest of the week as well.

Be safe.

My fan is on right now.. what the hell kind of weather is this? Shorts and t-shirt weather today. I want to play with my Jeep in the snow, dammit!

It shouldnt be dangerous to venture into the yard. If I get the chance I might be doing that. Just not much in the mood for the fun and game stuff right now (I've gotta leave for a funeral in another state on thursday).

This has been a lousy winter ... we've had 3 or 4 days of cold. :|

when it comes to this... yes. Everything else, no.
I'd say that you're VERY willing and VERY sure on some things... ;)

I feel that way anytime I leave my own property regardless of the weather. This world is just nuts!

You can all come visit me here... weather permitting of course.

Eh. Flatlanders are goofy on the roads when it's dry. It's just multiplied by snow.

Although you may be right. Chicago, Flatlanders are in a class all their own when it comes to driving stupidly.
