When I click send I get a red message (what about the colourblind out there?) sayuing my IP has been logged and I am to be shot at dawn. Worse the message does not go. Come on folks this is not good enough.

This is a long-standing issue with the feedback system. Somehow things are being flagged as spam by the system.

Is there a way then to send private feedback to an author as there is one I'd really like to congratulate?

Is the perception of the red color critically important for understanding the message, or is the visibility of the text sufficient?

Color choices are not always accessibility obstacles. Is this one of those cases where it really is? "Color blind" doesn't mean the text is invisible just because it's colored.

Accessibility doesn't mean "don't use inaccessible colors anywhere ever," it means don't do so when it would conceal information which is accessible to others.

You can try sending them a PM on the forums, but there's no guarantee that they are active here or even have PMs enabled given that it defaults to disabled.
