When did you last check your breasts?

I'm booked in for a mammogram and ultrasound on tuesday because i have a lump in each breast.
Chances are it's nothing, although breast cancer killed my mum when before her 37th birthday.

I check mine usually about once or twice a month, and have them thurouly checked when I go in for pap smears.

At your age, even with your mom's history, it is still probably cysts. Been there.

I get an annual mammogram and additional followup as necessary.

I checked mine last night. I try to check them a couple of times a day. They were still nice and soft and lickable as of a few hours ago.

I don't have a family history, but i had lumps in both breasts when i was 25. Eventually had two removed but there are still 3 in there that show up every year on my mammogram.

The fear is incredible, even when everyone is telling you, you're young, don't worry. In hindsight, it's easy for me to say the same to you, but i remember the panic... If you need to get it all out, feel free to PM me.


To answer your original question, i did the self exam two weeks ago, right on schedule.

The 19th. Of every month. Its part of the morning news program. I watch it evey morning starting at 5am. The 19th is Breast Check Day. They announce it, I remember to do it in the shower.
