When did you first know?

Huh! This seems to be one of those things where, for women, the least bit of cock-loving means she's 'still straight'-- while for men, the least bit of cock-loving means he's a goddamn faggot.
(I notice that we define it by the cock. )

No, Fractal, Bisexuals often prefer one gender over the other. Sometimes all of their life, sometimes for a while.

Well, my mistake. I suppose I never thought of it that way.

I see my mistake. I took the term "Discussion Board" literally; a place to discuss things from a variety of viewpoints. I didn't realize that it is really a place for identical clones to discuss how perfect they all are, and any dissent is not tolerated.

My deepest apologies.......Carney

You haven't really been discussing anything though.

Well, I've been trying. My very first post on this thread was an on-topic alternate opinion on the question posed. It earned a response from one of your own that I am a "fucking idiot." Nice discussion technique!

You don't think your past history here has anything to do with the reaction you get now?

My "past history" is the same as my present: different, and therefore unacceptable to "polite society" who would call me a fucking idiot rather than discuss things.

No, your past history is that of someone who is rude and disdainful of anyone different from himself; someone whose posts are so hate-filled that it can almost be smelled rolling off the page.

That's why you were called a fucking idiot.

Many people don't. :)

An extreme statement, but, it seems, sorta representative of general opinion.:(

I'd like to go back to Carney's idea about choice.

I would like to think that I have a choice in which sex I am more attracted to at any time; but thinking about it, I am not sure that I do. I've always figured I went with the flow, and I limited my choice because of whomever was available; I need to think upon this for a while.

I do think I could influence my own psyche if I were sneaky about it... :D

I love some women and I love some men. I prefer mostly to go to bed with women. It's how I'm wired.

I don't have a choice about the attraction itself & never have. I do, however, have a choice about if/how to act on it.

STELLA

I installed a webcam just so people can see that I laugh most of the time. The shit I read on this board is better than a circus/horror movie/date with Britney.

And that decision to act or not was the crux of my original post.

I was working from the assumption (which may or may not be valid) that no early teen would choose to be gay/lesbian/bi. That isexuality is a fact of being, like hair colour. You can choose to act on your personal sexual preference or you can choose to live, as Misty and Mat did for many years, camouflaging or denying it - like dying or perming your hair. (sorry guys, I know this is painfully simplistic here, but sections of this crowd seem to require simplicity)

I'm not arguing that sexuality is a matter of choice. I'm taking it as a given that it isn't. That premise is inherent in my whole question, which was not "when did you know you were 'different'?" it is "When did you accept your sexuality?"

And I would very much like to thank those of you who answered clearly and honestly in the face of the ignorant stirrers here. I knew this thread would attract the rudely provocative. I just hoped they wouldn't scare away the sincere.

Don't know what JBJ said, he's been off my screen for some time and I figured this thread would not be one worth reading his comments. Guess I should be adding Carnevil to my selective reading list too.

you are both Andrew Carnegie's long-lost sons, aren't you? :D

(edit) Dale! Dale Carnegie, dammit! :p

Yes, God forbid that I should rub your Dogma's nose in its own shit.......Carney, the Dogma Whisperer
It's not that you have an opposing view. It's just that you seem to have no view at all unless it can be put in the crudest fashion.

I have read some of your posts and found them amusing, even vaguely interesting. I have never read anything you said that I hadn't already considered, and either included or discarded from my views.

You have nothing new to say, Carny. You rarely say anything relevant but when you do it's always put in the most confrontational manner possible. You're tedious, and I have enough tedium in my life already.

Bravo! Bravo!

You have a beautiful mind, Starrkers. And, the noble intentions of your thread have, I believe, managed to create some interesting discourse despite the unfortunate heckling from the more sub-human elements who chose to crash this lovely party.
