The nine year old kid in the seat next to me got subjected to some pretty gratuitous tits and gore.

I didn't know they stopped either. Most flights I take are too short for a movie but once in a while I get one and they are always edited.

There are worse things. I once saw somebody watching an Adam Sandler movie.

... and that was just the safety instructions.

Bum-tsk.

Those ones he's doing for Netflix suck ass even more than usual. The most recent one wasn't the worst thing I ever saw but it wasn't good. The first one was just plain terrible.
The guy has no shame. Surely it's not about the paycheck anymore so what motivates him to make such shit?

I watched Deadpool, and so did the kid across the aisle. It was the cinema version, nothing left out.

Also saw Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, which was way better than it had any right to be.

Censorship on a flight made sense when:

*There was one screen in front of everyone

*No one was holding a laptop / tablet / phone and able to watch anything they wanted regardless

*People couldn't get on someplace like Yelp after seeing a censored film, complain that "I paid $xxx for a plane ticket and $x for the film; I should be able to see everything without the airline censoring it!" and have their comments available for the world to see in an hour, hurting the airline

*People couldn't get on someplace like Yelp after seeing a censored film, complain that "I paid $x for the film; I shouldn't have to watch a censored version considering I was a good citizen and could've ripped it from online uncensored (and free)!" and have their comments available for the world to see in an hour, hurting the film distributor

Ok I watched Do Over last week. Stupid story but I will say I laughed at some outright gross scenes. The dripping sweaty balls on Joe Dirt's face and the mama's hanging titties down to her waist. Actually I think past her waist.

Watched The Cobbler last night. It was an ok family movie.

Oh yeah, the OP. Holy crap! Had to be separated the last time I flew with the kids. I napped, the boy watched new Vacation. I was horrified for him.

Bad parenting on my part for not being aware there was tits and ass to choose.

I wonder if you're allowed to watch porn on your laptop while on a flight.

Do Over was the latest one. It's ok by Sandler standards but that's it. A couple laughs like you said and most of it gross out stuff.

I'd imagine they'd br even more prone to censor these days, with online outrage culture being what it is.

"<Airline name> allowed MY innocent little snowflake to see R rated movies!"

Denny---<-----that's me! The male half

Wen I flew with Amiela we didn't have in-flight movies. I'd just watch her with her tits hanging out the window.

It was fully my fault for snoozing, not the airline.

Most of the monitors built into the seatbacks are going away. Very soon.

I don't remember him doing such an outrageously gross one as that.
