When did Harry Reid stop beating his wife?

A guy told me Harry is a child molester. I'm not saying you are a molester but I now think it's your responsibility to prove you are not. After all some guy told me you were.

Awwww....someone's trying to change teh conversation from Harry Reid's leaking Romney's 10 years of no income taxes.

Of course, Romney could easily prove that Reid was a liar by releasing his income tax returns.....

better question

how did a CIVIL SERVANT since 1970 become a multi millionaire?

Maybe Romney should get some tips from Reid's wife...

Because he's getting his ass whipped on this one.

The Ritzy Reid

Reading Mark Steyn’s post, I was reminded of an amazing story about Harry Reid. Hang on, let me do some Googling. Okay. The story dates from 2006. And here are the opening sentences of a news report: “Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid has been using campaign donations instead of his personal money to pay Christmas bonuses for support staff at the Ritz-Carlton where he lives in an upscale condominium. Federal election law bars candidates from converting political donations for personal use.”

Say what you will about using campaign donations to tip your doormen — but I remember gasping, “Harry Reid lives at the Ritz-Carlton? This Democratic lion, this tribune of the people — lives at the Ritz-Carlton, and gets away with it? And if a Republican political leader lived at the Ritz-Carlton?”

People get tired of hearing about double standards in the media. (And academia, and Hollywood, and . . .) I would be happy to talk about these double standards less, if they were ever reduced, even mildly.

P.S. My Googling led to an Impromptus column, in which I published an observation of a reader: “Now that Reid has to reach into his own pocket, will he pay the doormen less, or the same? Power to the People.” That was a good one.

I'll buy that argument if you believe the government should release all documents regarding fast and furious because they could prove nothing was done wrong. Pretty simply on both sides. The truth shall set you free.

^^^^^^Awwww still moar butthurt over fast 'n furious.

All that thunder in Breitbart, pjmedia and American Thinker, and the vast majority of America shrugs their collective shoulders.

And you were sooooooooo sure you had an impeachable scandal!!

As the story unfolds, it's revealed that, as a Mormon, Reid has several wives he's stopped beating. He takes great pride in his 'women's issues'.

Have you heard about a mysterious phone call from one of Happy Harry Reid's political cronies from the mortifying days in 1974 when Paul Laxalt waxed him for the Nevada Senate seat that changed the course of Reid's life forever?

It's a pretty shocking story, and one that the powerful Democrat has understandably never explained through all these years. It's haunted him though, through those early devastating political losses for the Senate and the Las Vegas mayor's office, the defeats that turned him into the bitter, cynical political mumbler he's become at age 72.

This troubling tale has haunted Harry Reid through the shadowy years he ran the Nevada Gaming Commission, through his public embarrassment over the Los Angeles Times investigation into his son and son-in-law's Washington lobbying activities, the ethics investigation into the free tickets Reid happily accepted to boxing matches and the successful land development deal that ended up netting Reid $1 million when he sold it, in an amazing coincidence, to a friend and it became a shopping center.

And through all these years, Harry Reid has never bothered to deny that awful early story. Just as he's never denied any early involvement with left-wing South American political parties and an unsuccessful 1964 bid to become a Goldwater Girl.

Anyway, the Senate leader is now employing one of the oldest tricks in the political book, one that seems to have become a standard tactic for terrified Democrats this cycle.

Reid told reporters the other day that Republican Mitt Romney, who's threatening the political futures of many comfy folks in Washington now, has not paid income taxes for the last decade. Reid repeated the charge of this felony on the Senate floor Thursday. The Romney camp vehemently denies it.

Now, Harry says he's in possession of this information because an old business crony of Romney's, whom Reid won't name, made that statement in a phone conversation that Reid won't document. In fact, Reid has no proof whatsoever that what the unidentified caller allegedly said in that unverified conversation containing the unsubstantiated claim has any merit at all.

Reid's father was so embarrassed about what his son would do someday that he killed himself at age 58.

Reid didn't have time apparently to mention an accurate report that 36 Obama White House aides are $833,000 behind in their taxes, according to the Internal Revenue Service. Nor did Reid explain how the IRS has somehow overlooked a decade of missing tax returns from a multi-millionaire who's this administration's main political opponent.

Keep going, coachise, you still haven't got any traction here, but it's not for lack of effort on your part.

Derp!

Harry should release his tax records for the last ten years to really put the pressure on Romney. I won't be holding my breath. No, he is not running for president. He just holds one of the only two offices that can pass legislation that the president gets to see.

Obviously Harry is desparate for material against Romney, and he's resorted to schoolyard antics...

It's a brilliant ploy on the part of Reid. Now Romney has to release his tax records or be barraged constantly with attacks that he went a decade without paying taxes.

After all, if it's not true then Romney can easily prove it. The comparison to "When did you stop beating your wife", THE classic gotcha question, is a stupid one.

I doubt that Romney did anything illegal with regards to his taxes. So why does he balk at releasing them? Unless of course the amount of income tax he did (or didn't) pay is just going to portray him in an unfavorable light.

Exactly how bad is it that he would rather take the heat for not releasing them?

Real bad.

Romney probably has a half dozen perfectly legal tax dodges that reduced his final payment to a minuscule percentage of his total income. It looked like a smart move at the time and he had plenty of people to tell him so. Of course, they were all his employees and financial buddies.

Now he has a whole new group of buddies. They know politics and they told him he can't release a single page without being torn to shreds. It's hard to argue for continued tax cuts for billionaires when billionaire don't even pay the reduced rates.

I'm surprised you're still posting here after that post you made in another thread about how you find 8 year old boys attractive.

Keep tryin' to throw it back on Reid.

Sure you're not gettin' any traction, but it's a lot of fun watching you splutter in situational outrage.

Harry Reid, embarking on a 'prove your innocence' tour, once again shows why we will be glad to cast him out of his Senate leadership role in November. Reid's a fucking asshole. Such tactics as telling a lie only to goad your opponent into taking a defensive position is one I think Romney and the voting public will simply set aside as pathetic.

Reid needs to be brought up on charges and censured.
