Yanno, I was wondering the same thing. Simply because I sent my pic in to be posted and don't see it there yet. <pout> and it was a really good pic too. <g>

Just like with basic e-mail, story submissions, etc., it takes Laurel a while to get though all her STUFF that is thrown to her! 
Be patient. She'll get new stuff up soon, I'm sure.

So it is not a once a week thing or a biweekly thing? Shucky darn I ws hoping I could plan on a regular check time like I check new stories after 4 every morning. (NO I AM NOT ADDICTED TO LITEROTICA, I'M REALLY NOT!!) Now i really want to see pic updates to see a pic of Dancing Vixen!!! (and of course any new Tiggs updates too.)

Hey Laurel. Any idea when my pic will be posted?? I AM SO LOOKING FOrward to hearing what people think.
They need help
Obviously the problem is the fact that they are getting to much information (pics, stories, ect), and they dont have enough time to put it up in the site. They are puting all their concentration in new stories, the news articles, and all the expanding that they are trying to do, when they couldn't keep up with what they started out with. I am not trying to be an ass, but simple stating the fact that they dont have enough people to run the site within the quality it used to be run, at the popularity level that it has acheived(sp). They used to (at least) update the amature pic section twice a week, now it hasn't been updated since the eighth.

It's not an expansion, but rather a revision in procedures.
The Story backlog has to be cleared before the new scripts can be brought online. Once that's done, and the new scripts based submission system is in place, then pictures, poetry, stories, and eventually audio stories will be updated as new materials are submitted.
I confess I'm nibling my nails down to the knuckles waiting, but I understand that in order to keep running a free site, they've got to automate it. Hiring help isn't a real option if they want to keep it free.

I would say they have a whole lot of backloged stories,and agree with what you say, but lets not forget they are only adding like 5-10 stories a day. Its not like they have to write them, they are reader submitted, which if you know how to make web sites, might take them a total of fifteen minutes a day. I wouldn't say that they are to busy, more like to lazy.

LMAO! Yeah, I guess working 12-15 hours a day, 7 days a week is a bit lazy. How dare we have real jobs! Who says we're allowed to eat, sleep, and even leave the house every now and then? Shame on us!
As many of you know, we have been throwing all of our effort into switching over to the new system. It's a huge task, and I won't bore you with describing all that has to be done before we can make the switch, except to say that 4,000+ stories, several hundred poems, and a few thousand author/member profiles must be moved. This must all be done by hand, as there is no accurate way to simply "dump" the old pages with the stories/poems/profiles into the new database.
I've already described the new setup - rather than repeat myself yet again I encourage you to search through my posts to find my explanation. This new system will eventually involve ALL submissions, including pics. It will eventually eliminate the backlog by eliminating a lot of the busywork involved in posting a submission. For now, we will only be using it with the stories and poems so that we can troubleshoot before we add the pics.
This month we're concentrating all of our effort into preparing the new scripts for launch. As soon as this is done, I PROMISE that I will do a huge pic update. Thanks for your patience!

I have to disagree with you totally Sklare422e
I too develop and manage websites. There is a lot more to it than just tossing the words into a standard format. They are checking the stories for gross errors and making sure nothing like under age stories or things of that nature get in. (There are undercover agents who do try to trap adult sites into breaking the law so they can shut them down.)
Also right now the big problem is getting ALL of the older stuff converted to the new script so there won't be any real noticable loss of anything when it switches over. They are constantly testing the new script to make sure when it does go up it won't crash the whole site. Things that work fine alone can be totally unworkable together. Since they can't afford a bunch of programers and data transfer people they have their hands full. They are doing this while holding down full time jobs and still having a life too.
I for one appreciate all the work Laurel and Manu are doing to keep this site the high quality it is. Sklare42 are you a competing web site operator (as if there was any) who is just jealous of the quality Laurel and Manu have been able to keep for this site!!! hehehe

You must be such a loser anyways, cause you get on at 4 am to look at naked women.
