"wow, did you see the body on that girl?"

"she's my daughter."

"I guess you have, then."

no big names, but a few semi-knowns... dabney coleman, aneta corsaut (who I think was in the original the blob and laater the andy griffith show) and kim hunter, who I know best as playing roddy mcdowell's wife in those planet of the apes movies.

the movie itself was an early 70's tv movie about a kid that kills a neighbor girl then his mom makes him hide out in a secret room in the house. she dies and another family moves in... don't remember much more than that.

stupid comedies:
eurotrip
super troopers
broken lizard's club dread

a not so stupid comedy:

Marvin's Room

If it's Tuesday, This Must be Belgium

Beautiful Girls

I loved that movie. Thats the one where the guy keeps plowing his ex girlfriends driveway. There was an excellent quote in it, he explains whats great about women, and its absolutely beautiful.

Ok, sorry about the long post but the topic lent itself to me thinking about lots of movies over the years (ok, mainly the 80's, sue me, lol) that I've found entertaining.

I'd be curious how many of each of these people have heard of and/or seen ...

Orgazmo
- Joe Young is a young Mormon actor who preaches the word of God in LA and can't get anything from it. One day he stumbles on the set of new porno movie shot by well known porn director Maxxx Orbison. Maxxx chooses Joe for the title part in his new movie Captain Orgazmo. Unexpectedly the movie Captain Orgazmo becomes a cult hit, and Joe's girlfriend Lisa accidentally sees the movie in the video store - and the problems begin. Written and directed by Trey Parker, also starring Trey Parker and Matt Stone (who also teamed up for the movie "Baseketball" and the series "South Park").

Straight to Hell - "A story of blood, money, guns, coffee, and sexual tension." A gang of bank robbers with a suitcase full of money go to the desert to hide out. After burying the loot, they find their way to a surreal town full of cowboys who drink an awful lot of coffee. The townspeople are hostile to the outsiders at first, but seem to accept them once they've killed a couple of people. After a while, a mysterious man named Dade arrives, who seems to have unpleasant business to settle with the robbers. A free-for-all shoot-em-up ensues. Directed and co-written by Alex Cox, features Courtney Love, The Pogues, and bit parts from Elvis Costello, Dennis Hopper, and Grace Jones.

Repo Man - "...It's 4 A.M., do you know where your car is?" Frustrated punk rocker Otto quits his supermarket job after slugging a co-worker, and is later dumped by his girlfriend at a party. Wandering the streets in frustration, he is recruited in the repossession of a car by a repo agent. During his training, he is introduced into the mercenary and paranoid world of the drivers, befriended by a UFO conspiracy theorist, confronted by rival repo agents, discovers some of his one-time friends have turned to a life of crime, is lectured to about cosmic unconsciousness by the repo agency grounds worker, and finds himself entangled in a web of intrigue concerning a huge repossession bounty on a 1964 Chevy Malibu driven by a lunatic government scientist, with Top Secret cargo in the trunk.
Directed and written by Alex Cox, features Emilio Estevez, Harry Dean Stanton, and several lesser-known actors who also starred in Straight to Hell.

Buttcrack
- The gun-totin', Bible-thumpin' Preacher Man Bob must right the universal karma accidently set wrong when Brian inadvertantly kills his obnoxious butt-cleavaged roommate, Wade, and turns him into a zombie. Psychobilly comic rocker/singer Mojo Nixon ("Elvis is Everywhere", "Debbie Gibson is Preganant with my Two-Headed Love Child") as Preacher Man Bob, 'nuff said.

I'm Gonna Git You Sucka - Early Wayans Brothers feature. Jack Spade returns from the army in his old ghetto neighbourhood when his brother, June Bug, dies. Jack declares war on Mr. Big, powerful local crimelord. His army is led by John Slade, his childhood idol who used to fight bad guys in the 70s.

House - Roger Cobb is a Vietnam vet whose career as a horror novelist has taken a turn for the worse when his son Jimmy mysteriously disappears while visiting his aunt's house. Desperate to escape from the tortures of the house, Roger must battle the evil forces which have haunted him for a lifetime in order to save himself and his son from certain death. Very campy, cheesy movie played for humor featuring William Katt ("The Greatest American Hero"), Richard Moll (Bull from "Night Court"), and Geroge Wendt (Norm from "Cheers").

After Hours - A meek word processor impulsively travels to Manhattan's Soho District to date an attractive but apparently disturbed young woman and finds himself trapped there in a nightmarishly surreal vortex of improbable coincidences and farcical circumstances. Directed by Martin Scorsese, featuring Griffin Dunne, Rosanna Arquette, Linda Fiorentino, Teri Garr, Catherine O'Hara, John Heard, and Cheech & Chong.

Vision Quest - A coming of age movie in which high school wrestler Louden Swain (Matthew Modine) decides he wants to be something more than an average high school athlete and sets his sights on a prize that many don't think he can win -- he then sets out to reach his goal alone, without much support from his father or coach. Also features Linda Fiorentino and Madonna in her first major motion picture appearance.

Rubin and Ed - Reclusive Rubin Farr (Crispin "Hellion" Glover at his psychotic finest) teams up with vocal but unsuccessful multi-level salesman Ed Tuttle (Howard Hesseman, best known as Dr. Johnny Fever from "WKRP in Cincinnati") on a quest to bury Rubin's dead cat in the "perfect spot." Their trip takes them across Utah's desert where they have run-ins with Ed's ex-wife Rula and an elusive Andy Warhol critic.

Just One of the Guys
- Terry Griffith has got it all -- looks, popularity, the perfect college boyfriend, and an article that's a shoo-in to win her a summer internship at the local newspaper... or so she thinks. When Terry's journalism teacher passes her article up in favor of a couple of pieces written by boys, Terry is convinced that sexism is to blame. Determined to win the internship at any cost, Terry goes undercover at a rival high school to resubmit her article... as a boy. But Terry gets more than she bargained for when she finds herself fending off a bully and the advances of an oversexed female admirer, and falling for her new pal Rick.

Labyrinth - Sarah, a teen played by a young Jennifer Connelly, summons the goblins from her fave book, the Labyrinth, to steal her baby 1/2 bro Toby. When they actually do, she must solve the Goblin King's (David Bowie) Labyrinth in 13 hours or else Toby will become a goblin.

Zardoz
- In the distant future Earth is divided into two camps, the barely civilized group and the overly civilized one with mental powers. A plague is attacking the second group after which it's members cease to have any interest in life and become nearly catatonic. When Sean Connery, one of the barbarians, crosses over, the tenuous balance in their world is threatened. The cheese and camp factors are completely off the scale in this 1974 cult classic.

Hell Comes to Frogtown
- Sam Hell ("Rowdy" Roddy Piper, of 80's wrestling fame) is a prisoner of the women who now run the USA after a nuclear/biological war. Results of the war are that mutants have evolved, and the human race is in danger of extinction due to infertility. Hell is given the task of helping in the rescue of a group of fertile women from the harem of the mutant leader (resembling a frog). Hell cannot escape since he has a bomb attached to his private parts which will detonate if he strays more than a few hundred yards from his guard.

Student Bodies - A killer named the Breather terrorizes students at a high school. Whenever the killer finds students having sex, he kills them. He has some intense issues with which to deal. He likes to breathe heavily, and he likes to make prank calls while talking through a rubber chicken. This parody of late 70's/early 80's horror/slasher flicks features a flashing body counter, extremely unlikely murder weapons, and an ensemble of actors that probably never starred in any other films besides this one.

River's Edge - A group of high school friends must come to terms with the fact that one of them, Samson, killed another, Jamie. Reactions vary, as Layne is intent on protecting Samson and smuggling him out of the state, while others think it's best to go to the police. Matt's tough little brother also finds out about the body and no one knows quite how the police will learn about the murder or who will be blamed for it. Features Crispin Glover, Keanu Reeves, Ione Skye, Daniel Roebuck, and Dennis Hopper.

Street Asylum - Cybernetic mind-control devices are being implanted into the bodies of members of an elite anti-crime team. The officers are programmed to annihilate street scum then secretly self-destruct. When one cop discovers this plan, he must race against time to save his friends and himself. Directed by Gregory Dark (best known for his porn films as one of The Dark Brothers), features Wings Hauser, G. Gordon Liddy, and Brion James.

Runaway - A police officer specializes in runaway robots in the near future. When a robot becomes homicidal, he begins to unravel a mastermind's plot to create killer robot weapons, and then the policeman becomes a target himself. Features Tom Selleck, Gene Simmons (from KISS), and Kirstie Alley.

Innocent Blood
- The legendary director that brought you "National Lampoon's Animal House", "The Blues Brothers", "An American Werewolf in London", "Trading Places", and "Coming to America" brings you the dark comedy horror film from the undead. Marie, a female vampire with a conscience, decides to restrict her feeding requirements to the violent Pittsburgh gangsters who are at large in the city. Marie's victims become vampires themselves if she fails to permanently immobilise them, so when this happens, the gangsters become a serious problem which she has to fix. Features Anne Parillaud, Chazz Palminteri, Anthony LaPaglia, Robert Loggia, Angela Basset, and Don Rickles.

Lifeforce - A space shuttle mission investigating Halley's Comet brings back a malevolent race of space vampires who transform most of London's population into zombies. The only survivor of the expedition and British authorities attempt to capture a mysterious but beautiful alien woman who appears responsible. Directed by Tobe Hooper ("The Texas Chain Saw Massacre").

Killer Klowns from Outer Space - When a small town is invaded by aliens from outer space who are capturing and killing the townspeople, no one takes them seriously. Why? The aliens all look like circus clowns, use weapons that look clown like, and all have painted on smiles. Only a few of the young people in the town realize the danger and of course no one believes them. Armed with an ice cream truck they try and rescue their friends.
