Luggage has evolved over centuries. Early luggage was sturdy trunks, then suitcases, suitcases with four small wheels on a long side, two bigger wheels on a short side, four wheels on a short side, and various smaller carryon options. When I was lugging a two-wheeled suitcase with some of the weight on my hands, I saw the benefits of newer suitcases with four wheels.

Yes, the 4 wheelers are definately much easier handle, and on the body. I’m glad we don’t use trunks anymore!

they call those 4 wheelers spinners - for obvious.
but they're really not too good for traveling - thru airports esp.
if you watch them, they keep the suitcase out to their side - which takes up more room on their side.
and walking space thru airports can get really tight - so taking a bit more side room kinda hurts the whole movement.
I just have a two wheeler that I pull behind.

Please don't laugh at me but I used my walker to transfer my luggage. It just made it so much easier to transport my stuff.

Not a laugh at all, my wife used to do this because it was so much more convenient.
