What's the problem with Satyr61's First Time With A She-Male?????

You should remove your e-mail from your post, there's a forum rule against it.

As for the rest, I take it you had a story rejected? If you did there is usually a reason given. If you give more details someone here might be able to help.

Talking about himself in the third person.
"?????????????"

Grammar issues seem a distinct possibility.

Just here for the comments.

How can we know, hun?

When it got sent back, there should be some text explaining, either boilerplate or some custom message. This could be stuff like:

  1. Ur spullin iz atrowshus
  2. We found the nude minor a bit icky
  3. Grammar is next to Godliness
  4. Don’t put your email address in it
Or something else.

For some reason, my psychic powers, which used to be very reliable, have deserted me of late.

There was a story that went LIVE today that was absolutely atrocious with grammar.

I literally could not even finish it.

I had to give the author a 1-star. I hadn't had to do that in a long long time.
It just shows what has been discussed over and over - that given the number of stories posted each day, and the assumption that Laurel is still the only one vetting them (with or without assistance from pattern matching software) It's not physically possible for them all to be read individually.
My Guess - and it is just that, is that stories that dont flag up on the software as having issues are immediately passed.
Those that do - are either read or rejected - that decision is probably based on a number of issues such as how many there are - and previous history with the author.
The author then has the option to resubmit with either a correction and/or a comment - which is then read - and a decision made.

Like i said - that is just a guess - but it seems logical (at least to me) given my experiences here.

Anyone taking bets on whether the OP ever actually returns to see if there's a response to their post?

I got 5 bucks says we never see them again.

There is another site that proofreads and corrects all submissions, but they have a number of volunteer moderators. (And that can be a downside, because some of them have quirky requirements.) On Lit, you are pretty much on your own when it comes to grammar and spelling. As for content, that may or may not be an issue. Some content restrictions are caught, and some get through. There have been cases where some reader will drop a dime on a writer, and a story will be pulled long after it's already been posted.

It's interesting to me how common it is for people to start threads here where they ask a question while giving no information that would give anyone a basis for answering, and then they disappear.

Hey Tory,

This hadn't been too constructive, so far. If you want, you can send me a pm and I can have a look at your work.

Next time, a new thread in the Editor's Forum, indicating category, story length, theme, possible issues, and more of the relevant info, might be more effective. Less question marks might also help.
Please tell us if your get a PM.

Em
