What's on the menu for tonight?

I am making broiled bruschetta as one appetizer along with salmon cream cheese and crackers.

Then a roast beast complete with yorkshire pudding, mashed taters, gravy and carrots with brown sugar.

For dessert there are homemade fudgy brownies served with candy cane ice cream.

Then at midnight...I get the pleasure of ringing in the New Year with my kids...complete with two mini bottles of sparkly for me and my older two and sparkling mimosas sans alcohol for my lil two.

Truthfully, I cannot think of a better way to spend tonight. Me, my kids and mon Amie. :)

What about you?

Happy Belated New Year's, Mr. Duck. Just think...you get to ring it in all over again with Ms. girrly. Lucky you. :)
 
A pork and potato dish that includes mushrooms and some dijon.

I'll probably be in bed before midnight.
 
I had a leftover chicken leg, a salad with Italian dressing, and a glass of grape juice (WITH ice cubes, I might add!).

i ***love*** bruschetta

im in the middle of it right now...it's been awhile since i cooked a fancy dinner so im going with things i know

little crab puff pastries and crab stuffed mushroom appetizers that ive been working on and off since about five on

an asparagus and portobello mushroom stirfry with chicken sauteed in an orange ginger sauce and vegetable rice and toasty garlic bread

and for dessert i picked up some mini pastries from a fancy little pastry shoppe here and we plan on having pina coladas and some bubbly ourselves.

its really not as much as youd think...very small small portions but the pastry dough is a bitch to handle becouse i have such a tiny apartment. no space to work it.

We're having a few friends over, so we'll pickup some gormet pizza from a local pizzaria. This stuff is so good! It's a real treat.

That sounds yummy...as for me, I am planning on eating the woman that shows up.....saves on dishes....

My Chihuahua is licking the snot dribble from my upper lip so I got plenty of help here.

Excellent fair for a chilly night in front of a fire.
 
With mint sauce, I presume??
And a dry white wine?

It's one of my favorites. The spelling might be a bit off.:D It probably loses something in the translation:cool: Next time you're in town, I'll treat you to some.;)
