I am just curious about how people came up with their usernames. So if you would like, explain how you decided on the name your using.

For me, it was a nickname I got at work. Being in the military up in North Dakota, and originally from Florida, my supervisor used to give me hell about my southern draw. He would say that I probably used to wrestle gators down in the swamps, so he started calling me gatorboy. It just stuck. So how about everyone else?

hmmmmmm... how DID I come up with my handle?? I guess you'll just have to sound it out for yourself. ;)

(and besides... Pat McCrotch, Mike Hunt, and Ben Dover were already taken)

All the good ones were taken!

Well, I guess I've been up to my ass in alligators more than a few times, so what the hell.........

For me, every other name I tried that I wanted was taken, so I just came up with my name on the spot. Once I was registered I stuck with it. So nothing special.....

But Thumper, I gotta hear your story....Thumper the fivelegged rabbit that impersonates a bear.....

hmmmmmmmm, gotta be a good story there...

Weird Harold is also a nickname picked up in the military that has stuck for thirty plus years.

Me being a fanatic of the group ICP, my nickname is taken from one of their songs. Ezmirella is the full name but Ezzie was just a way to shorten it up. Anyway, Ezmirella in the song is a witch and that about sums me up too. lol

Well believe it or not Eve is my legitimate nickname. A shortened version of my name which you'll just have to figure out for yourself.

My disappearing act

Well, someone was stalkign me online and off kinda. He was following my ICQ name and IP addy. So, one day I just vanished. I created all new accounts. The Phatom Menace just came out, and i didn't want to be as cruel, but well, you get the idea. The royalty thing just comes from my nature.

Two reasons:

I've been out of the broom closet for years, but I prefer that my pagan/witch identity be separate.

Also, my lover has a thing about the way I eat whipped cream, which I thought made it a suitable name for writing erotica.

Let's see....

I was discussing the names my parents wanted to name me 26 yrs ago. And the name Alexander was the one they wanted the most besides. What they actually named me.
So when I went online....vupti that name came to mind. And voila Xander it was. And have been ever since.

I had just watched a movie where the female lead was named 'Sonora'. I thought that the name was beautiful, so I used it.

Prepare for a longish story..

Endlessly is not my nickname; it's a nickname of a nickname, if that makes any sense.

At the Park (the online community I work for) I have a tendency to visit the Poetry chat room.. since I write poetry, and I happen to be the room's official hostess\moderator chica. One day I went in there, feeling depressed and caught in the throes of nostalgia.. I didn't want anyone in there to PM me with sympathy or ask what was wrong, so instead of my usual chat name I chose the name Endlessly Looking Backward, denoting my bitterly wistful attitude of the moment.

Eventually though, I got over what was depressing me and I realized my attitude was entirely the opposite of the way it SHOULD be. And that's when my chat name in that room became Endlessly Looking Forward.. An attitude I try to maintain at all times now.

Eventually though, the Park switched chat servers and 'Endlessly Looking Forward' was too long a name to enter. So I became simply Endlessly.. And that's what I remain here. :)

Care to take a stroll...

Down melody_lane...
:D

Melody is my actual name. Lane was what my father wanted to be my middle name, but mommy dearest said it sounded too much like a street. I liked it anyway, so I use it.

Parents never did come up with a middle name for me...most people never believe that I don't have one. Anyone else that doesn't?

Tiggs has been a nickname for me for a long time now since I'm a BIG Tigger fan! I also have spin-offs of this nickname that I go by... Tiggsie, Tiggsters, and Tiggy.

Re: Feelin like a virgin??!!!

:p

wild child.....why did I come up with that one....I think it was because I had a few crazy kinky fantasies going on at the moment....not really sure though.

I picked up the name 'Bigdog' cause I'm the alpha-male for my pack of 4 dogs and 2 kids. Large and in charge.

Or was it because I chase pussy... :D

I'm much more special than a box of flakes!

Once upon a time, about 5 years ago or so, my boyfriend at the time and I were chattering the silly stuff that lovers chat about after sex. I'm not sure how it happened but we started calling each other various cereal names. "You're my little Frosted Flake", etc. It actually took several rounds before my boyfriend came up with SpecialK. I thought it was a particularly good one since my first name does indeed start with K. The rest, as they say, is history. Now I use the name everywhere. I would respond just as much to 'SpecialK' as I would my name. <shrug> There are SpecialK's everywhere on the net so when SpecialK isn't available I usually try a variant, alas my email SpecialKay@canada.com and my Yahoo username which is especially_kay. When in disguise I sometimes use the nick UnluckyCharms. :)

K (which seems to be the shortened version of it all.)

It is the character in on of my favorite books.
I used to use my name, but began getting "followed", so had to change.
This is a very interesting thread... second page and we are all still dressed, mostly.
