Broiled Adobo steak, black beans pan fried in olive oil, crushed garlic, and cilantro with a cucumber, tomato, and feta salad drizzled in olive oil and red wine vinegar.

Steak and cheese enchiladas with sour cream and tomatoes, Spanish rice, and pound cake with bananas and strawberries.

^_^ Cold somen noodles with boilded egg, cucumber, green onion, and pickled daikon. I made a gochujang sauce to dip them in. (Somen is not usually the noodle of choice for this sauce)

Spinach crepes (as in blend spinach, add to batter) with goat's cheese filling.

I had something similar a few weeks ago...scrambled eggs with basil pesto and goat cheese, with sliced grilled tomatoes (topped with a bit of parmesan) on the side. Incredibly flavorful and creamy. Need to recreate this for myself.

Chicken noodle soup! Every ingredient, even the pasta, is either home-made or from my garden. Only the best for my little sickos. I'm sure this will cure them more or less instantly.

Why do I never see these menus in time to make my travel plans? :(

Come on over and I'll make you spinach crepes with all the trimmings. :)

Cooking today:

Barley risotto (is it barlotto?) with thyme-y beet root mousse.
Pan fried zander.
Let's-see-what-we-have-in-the-fridge-besides-spinach salad.
Let's-see-what-I-come-up-with dressing.

Buttermilk panna cotta and cloudberry soup with almond cookie crumbs.

That's impressive! I wish I were your friend.

The weather is a bit gloomy, an indulgent "pick-me-up" breakfast is just what I need today - ricotta hotcakes with honeycomb butter.

I'm going to have to punish myself at the gym tomorrow. Eek!

Takikomi Gohan. Japanese mixed rice with seasoning, carrots, mushrooms and anything else I might add. ^_^

Grilled sesame BBQ chicken, with a salad of red lettuce, peas, red onions, dried cranberries and cukes. EVOO and raspberry ginger vinegar, and a Cali sav blanc.

Black bean, beef, and sweet potato chili with caramelized onion, toasted garlic, and heavy on the cinnamon and cayenne.

Yay for Fallin' :)

The weather has been really gloomy so I'm making a hearty beef stew. :) I don't buy beef often so this is a bit of a treat.

Jerusalem artichoke soup with toasted pumpkin and sunflower seeds.
Panfried zander with warm beet salad and a yoghurt dressing.
Baked apple with custard and oatmeal crumbs.

Enjoyed in good company. Leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

Butternut squash soup w/ sausage; homemade dinner rolls.

The soup has a great bite to it. Roasted & pureed squash, carrots, onion & garlic in a vegetable broth, with a 1/2 pound of browned sausage added in, and cinnamon, ginger and allspice to finish.

Sounds delicious!

I'm making soft tofu soup with veggies, beef and a spicy broth. White rice and kimchi to eat with it.

I made a great lambsoup for tomorrow. The whole house still smells wonderful after all those hours of cooking.
We went out for dinner though and had a great meal at a lebanese restaurant.

Late breakfast: natto toast :D

Whole grain toast with natto ( fermented soybeans) spread over top and Kewpie mayo drizzled on the natto. Black coffee, because that's how it tastes like coffee. Mmm... Coffee.

Pita bread filled with thin slices of tandoori chicken and tomato, mango chutney and homemade mayo. Yum!

Possible ick-alert:

Blood pancakes, lingonberries and grated carrots.

Master and I made one of our favorite breakfasts this morning...chorizo and eggs. It's fresh chorizo, not the dried type, browned up and drained then mixed with beaten eggs and cooked. Spread out on a flour tortilla, topped with some cheese, salsa and sour cream and rolled up to fit nicely into your mouth. Yum!

I love chorizo for breakfast. I think I have it as often as cereal!

Soyrizo for me, though. Couldn't get mexican chorizo when I was in NYC, so soyrizo from Trader Joe's is all I had. Eventually developed a taste for it and now I actually prefer it over the old greasy stuff made from the butcher's odds and ends. ;)

Cook in a little oil, throw some chopped onion in there, serve in corn tortillas with fresh pico and some tapatio. Yummm.

I gotta get to the store to buy more rice so I can get back to making my batches of oijangajji and living off of it like a poor person. :0

Leftover beef stew from Sunday lunch for dinner tonight, but I have plans for a broccoli-pesto pasta on Friday night (my dinners for tomorrow night and Thursday night are going to be at other people's houses, hehe).
