Steak and cheese enchiladas with sour cream and tomatoes, Spanish rice, and pound cake with bananas and strawberries.
I had something similar a few weeks ago...scrambled eggs with basil pesto and goat cheese, with sliced grilled tomatoes (topped with a bit of parmesan) on the side. Incredibly flavorful and creamy. Need to recreate this for myself.
Chicken noodle soup! Every ingredient, even the pasta, is either home-made or from my garden. Only the best for my little sickos. I'm sure this will cure them more or less instantly.
Why do I never see these menus in time to make my travel plans?![]()
Come on over and I'll make you spinach crepes with all the trimmings.
Cooking today:
Barley risotto (is it barlotto?) with thyme-y beet root mousse.
Pan fried zander.
Let's-see-what-we-have-in-the-fridge-besides-spinach salad.
Let's-see-what-I-come-up-with dressing.
Buttermilk panna cotta and cloudberry soup with almond cookie crumbs.
Butternut squash soup w/ sausage; homemade dinner rolls.
The soup has a great bite to it. Roasted & pureed squash, carrots, onion & garlic in a vegetable broth, with a 1/2 pound of browned sausage added in, and cinnamon, ginger and allspice to finish.
Master and I made one of our favorite breakfasts this morning...chorizo and eggs. It's fresh chorizo, not the dried type, browned up and drained then mixed with beaten eggs and cooked. Spread out on a flour tortilla, topped with some cheese, salsa and sour cream and rolled up to fit nicely into your mouth. Yum!
