Did the pluot arrive from pluto? Maybe from their Crater Joe's?

Gosh, I dunno.... but , did you know that his friend Jenna has turrets? I heard he is quite compassionate about his fruit and Jenna's ticks. Please know that I didn't mean to offend with this pun, and if I did I send my deepest pomologies.

Every time I read the thread title I wanna say, "In a while crocodile", and I have no idea why

I thought it went, "see you later alligator" then someone replies "in a while crocodile" or something like that.

Yeah, but for some reason this thread title reminds me of the "see you later, alligator" bit. And then my mind automatically fills in the missing "in a while, crocodile" bit. :)

I made some homemade ragu tonight. I used a "weird" sort of ingredient. I used wood ear mushrooms (also known as cloud ear fungus and other names). They added a nice elastic SNAP to the sauce whenever you'd bite into them. It was a nice bit of textural variety!

Chicken Tikka Masala, broiled broccoli and feta, and jasmine rice. For dessert ~ fresh blueberries & blackberries with a dollup of real whipped cream and topped with a sprinkling of toasted almond slivers.

Raw oysters first plain, then with Habanero Tabasco sauce and soy sauce, then with Habanero Tabasco and soy sauce with diced daikon. All very yummy.

Next will be crispy beef tacos.

Of course, I'm not the one doing the cooking. That makes everything taste even better. :D

Cinnamon pancakes with real maple syrup, scrambled eggs with feta, and fresh peaches and blueberries. Oh, yeah and COFFEE.

I've got a massive hangover brewing for tomorrow.

*raises another glass of pinot noir*

Made pizza from scratch last night. Homemade dough and sauce. Made one plain pie and a cherry tomato, grilled chicken, basil, and feta pie with oregano and garlic olive oil brushed on the dough.

Used up the last of the dough I didn't freeze. Made a cheese pie with mushrooms and onions.

Red Thai Curry with sweet potato, broccoli, and turkey over jasmine rice. For dessert, fresh peaches sprinkled with cinnamon and dolloped with whipped cream.

Dutch oven ribs
Rainbow rice
Corn on the cob
Chunk cantelope
Jack D and coke
Peach dump cake
Black coffee

Yummy! That all sounds great! I am curious thought, what is rainbow rice?

Rice- I use long grain and wild (some use white so the "rainbow" stands out better)
Rinse it then cook it, cool it, fluff with a fork.

All of the following are optional based on taste.
Red bell pepper
Red grape tomatoes
Orange bell pepper
Yellow bell pepper
Green bell pepper
Green bunch onion
Purple onion
Purple bell pepper
Sliced black olives
Sliced white mushrooms
All diced small (I don't usually dice the mushrooms or olives)
Mix it all up and dress with salt, pepper and some light salad oil.
Serve cold or hot, I usually do it cold.
We cook our rice in the crock pot so if we want it warm I usually throw the veggies in at the same time as the rice.

OK, I am definitely going to try this, it sounds really good! Thank you! :rose:

Breakfast burritos with eggs, veggies, & feta with a side of fresh blueberries.

Must be the night for eggs. :D

Omelet with baby spinach leaves, vidalia onion and parmesan cheese with a side of fresh pineapple.

It is an egg night...wonder if it has something to do with it being hump day?

Eggs scrambled with roasted green chilies, served on corn tortillas with avocado slices (was too hungry to make guacamole). Decent but not as good as what someone else could have done with these common ingredients.
