I finally ate fish for the first time in years. Now I remember why. I just don't like the taste and texture.
This is tragic. I'm so sorry.![]()

Too bad: that salmon looks delicious and the risotto (?) looks perfect.
A couple of weeks ago: I got the thin end of a beef tenderloin from my butcher, wrapped it in double-smoked bacon and slow cooked it in a reverse sear on my pellet grill.

Chicken ratatouille with steamed new potatoes.
Steamed new potatoes are so good! Especially almond potatoes. I could probably eat a kilo of them.
Oooh me too. I’m Irish, it’s what we eat. New potatoes are too delicate to be boiled.
What are almond potatoes? Are they really tiny like Drillinge?
They’re pretty small. They’re a specific potato type grown in Lapland and somehow they’re just the tastiest potatoes you’ll ever have! An absolute delicacy.![]()
How long did you search for a platter to match your counter?
I'll take your tenderloin any day!![]()
They look fantastic.
A pot of those with some salted butter and a pint of Guinness.
SORTED![]()
I want this. I love potatoes beyond all reason.
I'll join in with leftovers.
The last bowl of homemade tomato basil soup with a several day old Chicago hard roll. 1/2 of an Ambrosia apple for dessert.
No frills and fast lunch. Yum!
Gracie! I Googled what a Chicago hard roll is. It’s a bread product from a grocery chain that is not in the Chicago area? What? I must be feeling what the people of France feel regarding French fries.
I made shrimp scampi over pasta, and a local mozzarella, garden tomato and garden basil salad with balsamic and olive oil, cracked pepper and sea salt.
So simple. So good.
I didn’t plant a garden this year because my puppy dug it up last year, but my neighbors next door came through. Delicious.
